Pirate Eddie with a potty mouth problem & innocent royal rouge reader (fluff or angst)
Reader just sneaks on his ship for a quiet read and when Eddie and his crew come back there is this random person in his chambers and he's like "what the fuck?" and she's just like "Shut up, I've never heard such foul language before" or sun I'm trying to read. And they get close but he teaches her a few unholy things.

The quiet swell of the sea around you is comforting, the perfect white noise to the novel in your hands. You're perched on the end of the bed in the room, the blanket tattered from years of use and neglect. You don't hear the footsteps slamming onto the planks of wood above you, far too spacey to recognize your surroundings as dangerous.
You only know what's happening when the door is thrown open, smashing into the wall that it swings towards as someone steps in. Instantly you know, he's a pirate. You're on a pirates' ship, that much you knew, but you didn't think the pirates would come back before you were finished reading. The man who stands in the doorway has a tunic on, a mane of unruly brown hair crimped and falling over his shoulders. It spills over onto his back and nearly reaches the hilt of his sword, hung loosely from a brown leather belt. His boots are muddy and sandy, leaving awful prints over the previously-clean floor of his room.
Then, rather ceremoniously and eloquently, he provides, "What the fuck?"
Your stomach thudds down into your feet; you'd only ever heard drunkards in the tavern use those words, always after midnight, and you're always warned never to tangle with them. Is this man a drunkard?
"Are- Are you drunk?" You scramble to your feet, backing away from him as he raises a brow amusedly.
"Always." He nods, his bouncy hair flopping around his shoulders, "Are you lost?"
"Always." You admit sheepishly, hanging your head to avoid his eyes.
"Well I'd love to help you find your way," The pirate croons, holding out a weathered, calloused hand, you assume from the ropes above deck, "I'm Eddie. Captain Eddie."
"You're the captain?" Your eyes shine with wonder, "Like in my book!"
You brandish the novel you're in the middle of, a story about a daring pirate and his fearless crew. Captain Eddie snorts at the picture on the front, the pirate's sword drawn theatrically, "I don't think my crew has ever looked that cool."
"I think you look cool." You admit, your fingers nervously fiddling with the pages of your book.
"Oh, I know," He winks teasingly at you, "I said my crew never looks that cool. I'm always cool."
"Anyways, Princess," He starts, the nickname sending a jolt of fear up your spine, "Where are you from?"
"The palace." You murmur, hoping he doesn't hear you.
"The pa- shit," He gushes, his eyes wide as his hand flies to his sword for leverage, "You're- you really are a princess?"
"Please don't take me back!" Your lower lip juts out involuntarily, but you suppose it helps you in your pleas, "I'm tired of being trapped in there. I want to explore," You hold up your novel, "Just like pirates!"
"You are asking me," He confirms, chest tight, "To sail away while you hole up in my bedroom?"
"Oh, you would?! Thank you," You gush, rushing forward to wrap him in a tight squeeze, careful to avoid his sheathed weapon, "Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
"Ah, ah! No," He yanks you off of him, eyes wild, "You are asking me to kidnap the princess?!"
"They won't know it's you," You bargain, "They'll just think I'm lost or something!"
"I... fuck," He groans, there's that word again. You stand unimpressed before him, crossing your arms huffily as he buries his face in his hands.
"If you're not going to take me, I'll run back to the palace right now, and tell my father that you've stolen his rubies!"
Captain Eddie's head shoots up, eyes wide, "What?!"
"I see them in your pockets," You swat at the bulging fabric at his side, gems and jewels clinking together within, "He'll have your head."
"So either you damn me by ratting me out, or your father damns me when I kidnap you?" He clarifies, glaring unimpressed at you.
"I've read up on trade routes," You grin brightly at him, "I know the quickest ways! They won't catch us."
Captain Eddie deliberates, tapping his muddy boot against the floor. You wait not-so-patiently, finally starting for the door, "Fine. But you'd better be out of here in ten minutes, unless you want a cannonball through the wall of your bedroom."
"Wait!" He grabs your arm, yanking you away from the door, "I- I'll do it."
"You'll take me?!" You ask, eyes alight.
"Yes," He groans, the sound choked as he sighs, "But I swear, Princess, if this is how I die..."
"Thank you," You gush appreciatively, rushing forward again to hug him for a second time. This time your head finds its way onto his shoulder, his frizzy hair brushing your nose and tickling it.
"Don't thank me yet," Captain Eddie warns you, patting you on the back, suspiciously low down, "We still have to get out of here before anyone notices you're gone."
"Then let's go," Your eyes shine with adrenaline, chest already heaving as you drag him out onto the deck of the ship, "Teach me how to sail!"
