I don't have a thing for Sammy's birthday, but I wrote a Sammy fic for International Fanworks Day in February and apparently forgot to post it here.

[Cartinelli tag: this is basically my love letter to Agent Carter s1 and Cartinelli and you. You don't need to know who these characters are to enjoy it.]

Dude, I want that hat. (rated T for one vulgar hand gesture.)

Know what Sammy & co. did between Justice Jack and Sin City? Got totally into Marvel's Agent Carter, that's what.

(Agent Carter season 1, because the dates for Halloween and Sammy's birthday totally line up with eighth grade being in 2014-15, and also, season 1.)

Or, Q. So all the boys want to be Agent Carter?

A. Everyone wants to be Agent Carter. No, wait, that's not entirely true. Casey wants to be Angie Martinelli, because he doesn't think he could handle all that, and anyway, Sammy is clearly Peggy Carter.

Featuring the usual suspects (Sammy, Billy, Dot, Casey, Holly, Marissa) and all their siblings with bedtimes later than eight-thirty.

I just remember the ones I've run across recently:

"Hopping herring!"

"Whirling windmills!"

... "Frolicking fietsen" ?

12. Favorite thing you have learned, either from Hudson or from Sammy's experiences

Two words: cookie warfare. (a.k.a. the Van Draanens do Sinterklaas.)

"Little hard cookies come through the roof, you guys collect them--"

"We dive for them!"

"--and put them in satchels so your brothers can't steal them--"

"Well, I steal theirs, too. And they steal them back!"
