Dot Logic
Ayrasea: im rather depressed, in case you hadnt guessed.
so im watching horror movies.
this is a good coping skill, right?
Mushu: I had kinda guess that
Ayrasea: awww, what gave it away this time?
Mushu: elementry dear watson
Ayrasea: untrue!
go on
spill
Mushu: ... Wasn't really preparing for a follow up...
Ayrasea: well?
Mushu: cause I knew it! :P
Ayrasea: circular logic!
fallacy!
Mushu: prove it!
Ayrasea: you knew i was depressed because you knew i was depressed.
thats not even circular!
thats a line segment!
no, its just a dot
Mushu: exactly thus you just proved yourself wrong!
Ayrasea: ...
yes, and revised it with a point
ahem, you just made a fallacy. too singular to be circular logic. so it is a dot.
you made the fallacy of Dot logic.
Mushu: it wasn't fallacy
Ahkam's razor says that the simlest answer to a problem is most often the best one, thus but debate standards, I chose the correct answer
Ayrasea: 1. you spelled that completely wrong.
it's Occam's razor
2. it says that selecting something that makes the fewest New Assumptions is generally the best answer to choose unless something else can prove it false.
Mushu: >.
Ayrasea: this does not apply in the current situation.
and has nothing to do with my statement about your Dot Logic.
Mushu: problem- How did I know you were depressed?
Simplest answer- I already knew you were depressed.
Ayrasea: question- how did you know i was depressed?
"i already knew you were depressed" is not an answer, unless i have always and forever been depressed.
assuming that i function as an average human being, going through emotional highs and lows, one can break it down to a variety of cycles.
trust me, i have a lot of spare time. i've documented these things before.
as i am, in fact, in a depressed state right now, i must have been in a happier state earlier.
im questioning when and how you discovered i had gone through the transition in the cycle.
so. already knowing that i was depressed is an invalid answer, for even though it may be one of the simplest, it has no evidence to back it up, and almost no ground to stand on.
Mushu: hmmm...need a female elf name...
Ayrasea: Avarianna.
so back to the Original question.
Mushu: you know for that being off the top of your head, that was pretty good
Ayrasea: that's considered dodging, Mushu.
Mushu: I thought it was a compliment, though?
Ayrasea: it was a compliment, yes. but the placement of the compliment in this discussion doesnt continue the original train of thought. ergo, dodging or diverting attention to another matter.
so back to the Original question.
Mushu: now should she be a rebel or imperial?
Ayrasea: double agent. both teams
you're not planning on answering me any time soon, are you?
Mushu: not at all...
