So for those of you who want a taste of Epic Superhero Crossover and the Dottielint self-indulgent fic I’ve been writing recently--

It’s a five times kissed and one time they didn’t fic.

It contains MASSIVE spoilers for Epic Superhero Crossover, but IDK if I’ll actually get around to finishing or writing that to a point that I feel comfortable posting it. Like - ESC is a MAJOR project, and right now, I’m in the middle of Soulmate Timer AU and What Dreams May Come (and technically Roisa HP AU, although I may not be continuing that, despite all of the outlining - I’m not sure) and my original fic projects--

I’ve got a lot of balls in the air right now (and that’s not including unfinished smaller projects like IYLHYBHN and Meeting at Sunset OR new ideas like the Paradise Lost post-canon fic idea).

self-indulgent roisa fanfic got me into my writing habits. even more self-indulgent dottielint might get me back into them idk.

might post it when it's done with the caveat of THERE ARE SO MANY EPIC SUPERHERO CROSSOVER SPOILERS but let's be real am i actually going to finish that or post it? idk.

took a break from hardcore soulmate au writing to write some dottielint. i missed them. a lot.

and really finding that i can hardcore a project for, like, four or five weeks but then i have to take a break for something else or i hit a wall. ><

i think the interesting thing i'm realizing when it comes to dottielint and the epic superhero crossover is that both of their previous relationships - carterwood and rosalint respectively - were abusive - if you could even call them relationships, which in dottie's case i'm not sure i should.

they're different kinds of abusive and intentionality - in both cases, the other partner does not love them, whether they know this (dottie) or not (lint, debatably), and in both cases, the other partner takes advantage of their attachment, whether in small part (peggy, although dottie intentionally causes this...mostly) or large (rose in esc is a fucking asshole; she just is).

and i really love seeing how both of them grow out of this and deal with their reactions to this in their relationship - lint learning to trust dottie and to actually believe that she wants her because she loves her and not for any other reason (and then lint having to learn to not cling to her and try to manipulate her into staying with her because that's not healthy either) and dottie - i think, given spoiler circumstances, it's easier for dottie - being in a place where she isn't just loved, she's liked and having people actually treat her like a human being for the reasons she thought peggy did, only this time it's real.

i just have a lot of dottielint thoughts today, apparently.
