hey so i’ve mentioned it on twitter already but i will mention here, since i think most of my past readers were tumblr-folk: i’m working on doublecross again. i am starting over from the beginning, as much as that makes me cringe, but i’ve rewritten it so that it makes more sense, and i’ve already scripted the entire first chapter. my goal this time is to be better-organized with my chapters, clearer with my storytelling, and to try and make something that i feel is worth printing.
needless to say i’m pretty much beside myself with excitement. i’ve missed this project so much for so long, and have had to put it off because of college, so I decided to make the obstacle into an opportunity and work on doublecross for my thesis (which means I have teachers looking over my shoulder to make sure i’m really truly producing stuff).
i’ll make a more official announcement about it on my artblog later, but i wanted to throw that out there because i’m really indescribably excited about it. working on this comic is the single most satisfying thing i’ve ever done with my time, ever, and it took a really long time to realize that that’s the kind of work i should be trying to do-- the stuff i love so much it doesn’t feel like work.
(if you don’t know what i’m talking about-- i’m not surprised!! i haven’t worked on my webcomic in over a year, and a lot of people who know my art don’t know it exists. here’s a link to it, for the curious, but be warned that the learning curve is very apparent, hahaha.)
