My entry for the spring 2025 Buddies Quarterly Zine, another small story about being just a little guy rat. I was thinking a lot about that Ursula K Le Guin quote about capitalism when I made it, seeing friends lose jobs or go through tough times and watching systemic problems worsen out in the world. Smudging charcoal on paper with my hands gives me the ICK. I just can’t handle the feeling. I got goosebumps just thinking about it 😓But I love the style so I drew this on my iPad, and my hands feel clean and moisturized. Yay! ✨

wild looking back at this thing to see what a wildly different person i am from the various people i was when i was addicted to Posting. the nice thing about getting older is that you get to feel what it is like to not be static, to find out that you have changed in a way that makes clearer what has remained the same.
