It has been a rough week in professional wrestling, from losing Terry Funk on August 23 to tragically losing Bray Wyatt the very next day, I don't remember another week where we lost two absolutely iconic figures in professional wrestling on back to back days. I grew up in an era where Funk was considered an old man but still was one of the most feared and respected wrestlers in the world. Now that I am around the age he was when I first saw him, I know that he wasn't really that old at the time but his style of wrestling had aged him considerably. Bray Wyatt was a bit younger than me, and was someone I had a tremendous amount of respect for, in my opinion and a lot of other peoples opinions Bray was one of the most creative people to come into the business in a long time. I sit here wondering as I type this, if he hadn't gotten sick and passed away what would have been next out of his insanely creative mind. I will miss both of these legends, Funk was a big part of my childhood, and Bray was a part of the last television taping I ever went to. I hope if you get a chance if you're not familiar with either men's work you will look them up on YouTube and become a fan like I am
