Ok, I HATE it when people go "aKsHuLlY the doublesaber is impractical", it's annoying

But it's even worse when it's done in universe

"Doublesabers aren't that effective a weapon, te user is more likely to hurt themselves-"

SHUT. UP!

I don't care if it's impractical, it looks cool as hell

That's the point

Darth Maul wasn't given a doublesaber because George Lucas was thinking "hmmm yes, I want my new super cool villain that all the kids will love to have a practical weapon"

George gave Maul a doublesaber because it's cool

Spinning Saber (you think spinning with 2 hands is too much work)

Crossguard (you like Medieval fairs)

Ezra's gunsaber (you like Rebels a lot)

Hinged Doublesaber (you like having 2 blades parallel to each other)
