I was overcome with the urge to draw lightsabers again, so in honour of pride month have bi lightsabers!!
May the Force be with you 🙏
ok so I know canonically it takes a lot of energy and focus to bleed a kyber crystal red, HOWEVER, and hear me out, what if when a Jedi / light-side force user with a saber gets a little too dark sidey / taps into rage & emotion, sparks from their blade flicker red, like little streaks of lightning (think: the type of crackle that Kylo's saber has, but more subtle). like imagine Anakin's lightsaber, Devon's from MSL, the possibilities are e n d l e s s. I like the idea of the kyber within a jedi's chosen saber is just as sensitive as they are/their emotions, so when the Jedi feels themselves losing control, it manifests into their blade, which really is an extension of who they are ("this weapon is your life" etc etc). anyway. do with this what you will
We now that super strong metals like beskar can block lightsabers so could other strong metals like adamandium, uru or vibranium block them?
My $164🤤🤤
I understand that in the Star Wars lore, the color of your Lightsaber has official or traditional meanings. But because of this, I feel like, especially if you’re fighting other force users or former Jedi, you should probably change that up as a tactic.
You can’t do anything about the red light sabers since that just happens at some point when you become a Sith. But if green and blue are the signify someone who’s focused on force powers versus dueling, maybe just swap colors at some point?
The green light saber is supposed to signify someone who has focused on certain light saber forms and the development of their force powers so when fighting them, you should try to disrupt their concentration and put things in more of a physical duel. But if I’m a blue Lightsaber user with a green Lightsaber, I want you to close the distance so I can punch you in the face. Same swapping green for blue.
And I know having so much of my attention focused on how to deceive and overpower my opponent would probably make that lightsaber turn red anyway, but I still feel like someone should’ve done this at some point.
plastic lightsabers are so perfectly designed. the flick you have to do to make them unfold? unrivalled.
Date idea: building lightsabers out of Home Depot supplies together
