out of curiosity, which of the jojo light novels is your favorite? the only one ive read is PHF but ive heard most of the others are pretty good

Fave’s definitely Purple Haze Feedback, it’s well-written and it’s nice for how it works with new material but still integrates canon stuff from Vento Aureo. Kohei Kadono‘s storytelling’s engaging and it feels consistent with the characters that Araki’s given him the privilege to work with.

Over Heaven is so much trash. Nisioisin diregards the way Araki wrote Dio and creates his own fake version that’s a boring misogynist with a holy woman complex (and who btw repeats himself a lot). Uses tired Freudian tropes to create a cliched little man with no resemblance to Araki’s charismatic self-made vampire.

Friends don’t let friends read Jorge Joestar, but the artwork (it’s by the author I think?) is hilarious. I only got through 3 chapters and I feel like I should have gotten paid for the effort.

I haven’t read 4th Another Day yet so I’ll have to update you, but I’ve heard it’s really good.

There are plenty of people who want to go into the game completely blind though

i do get that, but at the same time, you can only expect so much when these are things that are going to be shown in commercials on tv and youtube and in promotional materials in real life like posters or merch

even if you actively stayed off the internet, theres a good chance itd be literally impossible for you to not see official reveals because nintendo is actively marketing the things they decide to show

hell, if you’re a pokeani fan there’s a good chance you’ll end up seeing new mons before the region is even out because of the episodes and movies meant to build hype (like lucario and the mystery of mew, or bonsly being in XD for example) that will also have these pokemon in the promo materials without being directly related to the new games

if you want to go in absolutely completely blind even of official marketing, you’d literally have to avoid any place pokemon could possibly appear which is... a lot of places, offline and online
