And was the basis for the creation of SNAKE EYES and STORMSHADOW in GI JOE in 1984. And other ninja films, characters, and toys etc.

The budget was $1.5mil and they made back $15mil. Ultra successful. The 1980s were wild!

Martial Arts Champion, SHO KUSOGI, made 2 sequels as the protagonist. And other movies outside Japan.

And FRANCO NERO is as always a blue eyed badass.

Written by American marital arts champion MIKE STONE. He couldn't act well, so they hired Nero as the main character and Stone remained as the stunt double.
