Well, since it's you asking, here's a couple HCs for Doug and Caroline!

Doug lets Caroline take the lead on nearly everything important. She's the one to ask him out and propose.

Doug has drawn Caroline countless times while he's talking to her. He doesn't like it when many others see his art, but she's different.

They used to meet up in the break room at Aperture and chat when they had time.

In canon, he never actually managed to ask her out or anything like that. It was pretty hard to deal with GLaDOS in the facility after he realized she and GLaDOS were the same consciousness.

y'know what I want for my birthday? Dougline content. Doug rattmann and caroline from Portal. I'm not joking here. I want to not be the only one creating for them. I want to see them as buddies or as partners or just. Existing together. I want to see them making bad jokes together. I want to see people just being People and I know it's so frickin' rare because everyone's busy with debating the relationship between everyone but I'm a bit fan of just... them being close, and I don't even care if BroTP or OTP at this point. But it never comes up because they never canonically interacted.

Gosh. I'm emotional about my rarepair again.
