Headcanons about Hunk that aren’t food related bc I hate vldofficial’s narrow and superficial outlook on him:

In high school, Hunk was a part of those coding/engineering for children camps where he’d teach kids STEM skills

He is squeamish about rollercoasters but loves watching them and their mechanisms

Hunk’s anxiety about flying mainly extends to when he is a passenger. Being a pilot and having some control over the ship gives him security

Is notorious for leaving things out and forgetting where he left them

He loves supporting his local sports teams. He’s not competitive at all but he loves all kinds of sports and the sense of community it gives him.

If you ask Hunk for help on something, even if he isn’t skilled in that thing, he will go above and beyond in trying to figure it out

Hunk can play the guitar and the piano.

He likes to play volleyball. Has good hand-eye coordination

Really likes learning in general. Has a decent amount of general knowledge about everything because he reads the news and books and whatnot. Because of this he can pick up a conversation with nearly anyone

If he hadn’t gotten into mechanical engineering, he considered studying medicine. He wouldn’t really want to be a surgeon but he thinks the way human bodies work are fascinating and likes to help people sooooo

If he had gone to college he would so be in some intramural sports team

He wants to change up his hairstyle but is too scared of ruining it. Grows out his hair and doesn’t know how to style it, hence the headband. Only cuts it when his mother nags him. Keith insists that he should let his hair grow longer.

Loved superhero movies at one point.

Goes to the gym. He is a rare leg day lover.

Does NOT have a green thumb. Bro could raise a whole kid but can’t take care of a plant. It will die under his care.

Hunk has a terrible poker face. You will win playing cards against him. He tried to cheat at cards once but he’s bad at cheating too everyone laughed at him.

keith knows 4 other languages + morse code

he knows korean from his dad using it around him, japanese because he asked shiro to teach him, spanish because his best (and longest) foster home was two elderly people on a ranch in southwest texas that spoke spanish (also you can’t grow up in rural texas and not pick up a bit of spanish) and galran because of the blade. he knows morse code because of his dad’s firefighter job.

now, no one on the team knows he knows so many languages. shiro knows about korean and japanese and that’s IT. so naturally he just..never mentions it.

they first learn that he knows japanese when shiro makes a stupid joke through the comms and he starts laughing, but that wasn’t really a surprise to anyone. they learn that he knows korean because he got an injury and was delirious. they learn about galran when they hear him and his mother speaking in galran.

but spanish? lance learns first. him and keith are alone in the kitchen on cleaning duty when lance starts singing a song in spanish. next thing he knew, keith was singing along. it was also the first time lance had seen him even tear up, because the song was on old classic keith’s dad used to sing to him.

the rest of the team doesn’t know until much later, when lance comes back from the pods after a stupid mistake that keith was left to find. the two had grown much closer since lance learned keith also knew spanish. anyways, they’re all gathered around the pod when lance falls out and keith catches him. and keith just starts YELLING. he’s dropped lance’s full legal name twice and he’s only speaking spanish. at some point he hugs lance and is throwing in every other language and nobody understands him. he was asleep about 5 minutes later, his head on lance’s shoulder.

Drag path, but it's Shiro who sees too much of himself in Keith, and Keith who unconsciously repeats all the bad choices Shiro made, including abandoning the man he loves to follow his dream.

Keith who's dad grew up making sure he knew how to treat a woman right, and later made even more sure that he knew it still applied to partners of any gender. Keith who pulls date's chairs out before sitting down, opens car doors, and holds his hand out when they're walking down stairs. Keith who can lead in a killer western-style two step. Keith who seldom uses pet names, but when he does they're classy, like "darlin'" or "sweetheart" or "sugar." Keith who's accent comes out when he's angry or drunk. Keith who gives his jacket and knows the sidewalk rule. Keith who's a gentle, doting lover. Give me southern gentleman Keith and give me Lance who can't handle any of it without combusting.

Everything Lance has ever earned has been Keith’s leftovers. Every single thing.

Moved to fighter only because Keith dropped out. Rescued Shiro only after Keith got there first. Met his idol, but Keith was so close to him he was family. Found the Blue Lion because Keith had been searching for weeks. Finally gets the Blue, something of his own, and then is forced to take up Keith’s mantle in his absence.

When was he ever good enough?? He wasn’t shown to get something of his own the entire show. He’s been chasing and chasing and chasing Keith down his whole life and it never ended.

I’d be sick of it and jealous too. I’ll admit it: his rivalry was honestly valid. Keith was exactly who Lance wished he could be without even trying, the guy who made everyone proud, made something of himself, pioneered a path and fought impressively through it all… and Lance didn’t get to prove shit.

Keith was a sword user and then Lance had to learn how to use one in his absence… fuck that.

Some Lying voltron headcanons bc why not >:)

Lance is good at Lying to strangers, but once you get to know him you notice all the little ticks that give him away

Keith has the straightest poker face one can master, but stumbles though words and can not make something up in the spot for shit

Shiro isn't particularly good at lying, but people tend to trust on him so it gives him a boost

Pidge does not need to lie, they have enough dirt on the people around her to make them lie in their place, she knows what you did and she knows you know she knows

Hunk is horrible at lying for his own benefit, he sweats and stuters and just looks like he is 2 seconds from runing away, but he's able to pull it off for long enough if he thinks its for a good cause or if it is to protect someone else's secret

Allura is a A tier diplomatic liar, she's good at molding the facts at her favour and making up narratives to back her up
