A Gem in the Market (DOVAH ROYALTY! AU) (Vulom/Arian)

the princess made sure to keep her hood close to cover her face from anyone who might recognize her. she was thankful to not have her mother's snowy white hair or her brother's silver hair as it was so noticeable. much more noticeable than the complete blackness of her long hair under her hood. she tired of royalty and being the dragon princess. there were always rules and  things that were expected of her and all of it was nothing she wanted. all she wanted was to be free. these escapes to the marketplace were just that. 

crimson reptilian eyes looked over the wares of the common folk making her overly aware of her long sharp nails as she picked up an item now and then. she turned to leave running straight into a stranger and staggering back a bit. "my apologies, i, did not see you there." she spoke up looking to see who she had run into.

"Oh, hello there," Vert greeted the passerby with friendliness, despite two scarves and two hoods hiding much of his expression. "I was wondering if, by chance, you happen to be interested in a game of chance? Dice, to be specific, but I know many games. If you win, you walk away a little richer, you know."

Large balls of fire were rapidly shot at a frostbite spider that was approaching both he and two travelers -a man and a woman, who only gained the Dremora's notice very briefly. If there was one thing Thaire had learned to hate during his time in Skyrim, it was frostbite spiders, and whether they were attacking him or not, he was prone to killing them.

Once the beast lay dead -and consequently on fire- steel-coloured eyes moved from the animal to the travelers; he had business to attend to now.

"Excuse me, but I'm in need of some information, should you be willing to divulge it."

Behind the Helm (Enovire|Keevella)

A roar of thunder sounded in the distance, as the two continued onward past another burned farm. The day had been dark, marked for rain, and it was only a matter of time until storm would be upon them. They had a number of similar sites, homes that had once stood along the road, but had been reduced to ash and char. The scenes themselves told stories of the scourge that had swept across the land. 

Enovire looked to Keevella; he wanted to say something, to reassure her that they would remove this blight from the land, but he could summon no further words to bring her comfort. The only thought on the top of his mind was the dire need to speak to the Jarl. Thankfully he could see what appeared to be the faint outline of Morthal in the distance.

Another roar of thunder echoed across the land. Overhead a faint mist of rain began to drift down. "We should pick up our pace," he informed her, without shifting his gaze from the path ahead.

A third roar of thunder sounded, and the rain began to pick up. Nevertheless they continued, determined to reach their destination before the storm struck. Their pace was much faster now despite their fatigue, almost a jog as they continued toward the town. 

It wasn't until they had reached the outskirts that the tempest burst, and down upon the land fell the wrath of the storm. Now in a full sprint, the two rushed toward Highmoon Hall. Throwing open the doors, they stumbled in out of breath. As they stood there, fatigued and drenched, a voice addressed them. "Hello, what brings you to Morthal?" It was the Jarl, who had seen the traveler's entrance.
