@askthedovah
So I made this…
Time to put Skyrim down for a while.
Why would you stop now, this is awesome
SECONDED.
//well facebook has stressed me out for numerous reasons so i have decided to come back to tumblr for a bit because being surrounded by tes stuff is calming. i am still extremely busy but i may take a few thread here and there. i’m not sure who all is still on here still but just know i missed you guys.
//hey guys! i know i haven't been on here in a while but i wanted to update everyone on the hurricane since i got a few messages about it. luckily i’m on the other coast of florida so the most we will probably get hit with is some wind and rain. i will try and update everyone once the storm passes!
love,
your long lost nikki
//boring personal bullshit under the cut
so first off hi. i’m sorry i’m being inconsistent as hell and not responding to things and not being around. i’ve been really depressed and busy lately and just haven't had time to try and bring myself to write again. i hope at one point i will be able to come back and write again (so that perhaps tumblr will be satisfied finally giving me real notifications other than pathetic ‘look at this thing please come back’ notifications) but for right now shit is kinda indefinite as to weather or not i’m going to come back at all honestly.
also to those who have been messaging me on skype i am so sorry i haven't been responsive on there either and i promise its not you. i’m just having a bad time, kids.
“Are you with me? Now… and always?”
A Snake in the Water (Vevel/Crevan)
the nord smiled brightly watching the display. “you know, that elf over there has been saying for years he can out drink a nord. i would be interested to see if that’s true.” the captain remarked with a grin. “doubt it.” she smiled getting up to challenge the mer. findlay sighed getting up from his seat. “you will have to excuse me.it seems in my age i’ve grown more and more tired. we will keep in touch, captain.” he smirked walking to the door.
Crevan kept his eye on Vevel even as the other captain made his departure. “I’m sure we’ll be hearing from you soon.”
The echos of his cheering crew drowned in his ears as he kept a close eye on every one of them. Every member of the competing crew was carefully analyzed; their numbers, their weapons, their size, their skills. How many of them would die when they made the mistake of trying to raid his crew?
“Come on, Vevel, drown his ass!” Neider shouted, encouraging Vevel’s current competition.
“Show him what a little Nord can do!”
“Leave him in the gutter, Vev!”
The Imperial shook his head and walked over to grab Ganus by the arm, who was being nursed by Lindril after taking a nasty left hook to his eye. “Go back to the ship when you can see straight and help Ryklos. Something is off and I don’t want the ship ending up in flames. I trust you can still see straight enough for that?”
Ganus snorted. “Aye, cap’n, I’m soba’ enough for it. Maormer over ther’ knocked the drunk right outta meh.”
Ignoring the fact that his words were still slurred, Crevan nodded and moved to join the crowd as Ganus and Lindril both packed up and left, leaving only Neider, Doneroth, J’Kren, himself, and Vevel at the inn.
once the mer was outside he had stopped one of his crew members that had been hiding in the shadows. “seems we have found our payoff. put a few drops of this in their drinks and don’t be seen. nord mead is sweet so they wont be able to taste it. as for those left sober on the ship, i’m sure the boys can take care of them when we come to pick up our bargaining chip.” the captain remarked with a smirk. “then when they wake, the real fun begins.” he grinned darkly returning to his ship. his crew member disappeared into the shadows once more carrying out his captain’s orders remaining unnoticed by the bar patrons.
“we live without names sometimes for hundreds of years. i believe i was, ninety perhaps when i was named?”
“Well, what’d they call you before that?”
“you are not called anything. you are nothing until you prove otherwise.”
A Tale of Two Dragons (Vevel/ Ormiyon)
“it is obviously a trick!” she shouted back swinging her axe at the dragons open mouth making it screech in pain. “right, but a real weapon works better when slaying dragons. but you couldn’t possibly understand.” she sassed back with a grunt swinging her axe again but this time at the dragon’s cheek.
“I wouldn’t fake something like this.” The elf shot back, halting in his barrage to shake his head. In his eyes, she and many other Nords were too naive to know anything about the energy that could create and destroy in an instant. Now he continued his attacks, bolts of lightning leaping from his fingertips to the dragon. Some came dangerously close to hitting her as they arced over her shoulder or passed by her side, though whether it was intentional or not wasn’t clear. He’d fought enough dragons to know that their magicka reserves could be sapped away by shock spells like any wizard’s, and that they had no resistance against such spells.
“a lie coming from a high elf seems common place these days.” she called out feeling the static of the electricity in her hair. “you hit me with one of those i’m gonna hit you with something way worse.” the nord threatened feeling the wind stir around her as the dragon tried to escape. “oh no you don’t.” she growled swinging her axe at the thin membrane of its wings and shouting the words of dragonrend not allowing the beast to escape.
For all eternity || askthedovah
askthedovah :
the journey had been a long few days consisting of plenty of bickering. the nord had been ready to tear her hair out when the gates of riften became visible. “thank the nine we are finally here.” she groaned laying her head on her horse’s neck. the darker dragon snorted and rolled his eyes at her comment. the redhead smiled rubbing ea’s shoulder gently. “hey, were here.” he murmured softly to her.
Eero looked over to Vevel, offering her a sympathetic smile. He was similarly exhausted if the dark bags under his eyes were any indication. There was nothing he wanted more than to curl up in a bed with his love and sleep for a few days, but he knew that was unlikely. Now that they were here they had an entirely new set of challenges to face.
“Perhaps we will be lucky and a certain Bane of Kings will fall into the river.” He muttered. “I have never known lizards to be able to swim.”
In the back of the cart Ea was not much better off. She started at Odahviing’s gentle prodding, sitting up for only as long as necessary to get her bearings before slumping back against him. The trip had been more difficult than Ea had anticipated. She had been able to catch little more than a few small rodents to feed on in the nights, knowing better than to attempt feasting on any humans while in Vevel’s presence. The small portions had been enough to sustain her, but just barely. Now she wilted against Odahviing, weary, weak, and hungry, having grown progressively worse over the past few days. She doubted she was capable of performing even the simplest of spells in her current state.
“quiet, priest.” the dragon spat with a hiss. “will you shut up for five minutes? you will be fed and you can stay at the inn all day for all i care.” the nord barked back running a had through her hair. even though she could not sleep from beasts blood she felt as though the could actually sleep for the first time in years from being so exhausted.
the red dragon frowned holding the priestess closer. dovahkiin had promised she knew a way to help her and the young woman had yet to not keep true to her word with him. he trusted her completely but he had still felt nervous given ea’s condition. he could only hope for the best and hope she hadn't asked for the help of who he was thinking of.
Forced Hands | askthedovah
she gave a sigh but did as he requested, adjusting the grip she had on her axe. someone had been there and it wasn’t the draugr. it smelled very much alive but she couldn’t just tell him that; it would raise too many questions. she followed closely crouching and disappearing in the shadows behind him. she nearly jumped as a figure made itself known forcibly attacking her friend. she stood making her presence known hitting the attacker with her shoulder as he cried out in pain from his wounded knee. before she could swing her axe at him and arm wrapped around her throat lifting her off the ground making her legs flail. she could barely understand their taunting as her head felt hazy from the lack of oxygen. she glanced over to her dazed companion noting one of the silver hand members creeping up behind him.
she clawed at the arm around her neck and moved enough to sink her human teeth into his arm making her attacker yelp, hitting her in the head in hopes she would let go. the hit only make her clench her teeth even tighter drawing blood from the thug. she snorted gently losing any sort of good judgement now. this man’s blood brought on the beast and now there was no stopping it. her teeth sharpened as she started mauling the flesh on his arm making the silver hand cry out louder dropping the nord. once her feet hit the ground she yanked him over her shoulder with his wounded arm, sure to dig her sharpened nails in the wound, slamming him hard on the ground.
she panted gently with a wild look in her eyes as she looked around to the other werewolf hunters. she spat some of the man’s blood out of her mouth but it did little to remedy the blood on her face and dripping down her armor. her bones gave a few loud pops making her roll her shoulders. the noise made the silver hand uneasy as their leader shouted to kill her off before she changed.
Vigor drew the dagger out from the man’s knee as he stumbled to his feet. His dazed attention was focused on Vevel as she bit down onto the arm that held her like a vice. He barely noticed someone creeping behind him. If Vigor wasn’t so quick, their axe would have run straight through his back. Even in his staggered state he moved within a moment but the axe still cut into his side. The armour took most the depth but he was still bleeding. Vigor quickly staggered into the Silver Hand, running them through the rib cage with his dagger.
He took a sharp breath in as he drew back and looked over at Vevel. It was a blur. Two against a troupe. Vigor could barely count the faces but he had to keep going, and act fast. By now he’d shut out their shouting and was focused on getting to his bow. He just needed his eyes and head to focus.
Vigor stooped down and grabbed his bow. Once he had an arrow back knocked he’d be in his element. He turned at the sound of another one coming from behind. Arrow at the ready but before he could raise his bow, another one tackled him to the ground.
her head snapped back towards vigor as she could hear the men behind her grunting as they fought. her eyes had a wild glow to them and her joints cracked and popped. she had been preoccupied with making sure he was alright she had nearly been cut down had she not grabbed the pole of the mace that was raised over her head. her attacker instantly regretted his decision but his regret came far too late as she yanked on his arm hard enough to dislocate it. her surge in strength was uncontrollable, a gentle caress would throw a fully grown man across the room. it was a nightmare-ish sight the changing of her physical body to that of a beast. longer arms and taller legs covered in a white fur replaced her normal features making it impossible to deny what she had done to herself. she was a werewolf and she had become so lost in her fury any that stood in her way would be slaughtered.
