Life on government assistance and living in housing
From the time I started living in housing, receiving what was then “Mother’s Allowance” I remained a stay at home mother to my son and daughter.
Met another man that turned out to be wonderful. Not a mistake by any means but it just didn’t work out after 3 years of being together.
He was awesome with my kids and he will always hold a special place in my heart... it just didn’t work out
After that relationship fail, i got a job when my children were in JK and Sk. I was a school bus driver... A rewarding job and a stressful one at the same time.
Once both children were in school full time I applied for a government loan to go back to school... Off to college I went, studying Business Information Systems. Unfortunately the only good that came from that was a new love of Accounting..After two years in college and not enough to search for work in the field I then took some online Accounting courses
I spent a few months on an assembly line for a company that soon went bankrupt.
Went back to driving a bus until I found a job in a manufacturing facility. Ten short days on the floor in manufacturing and then a position came up for office help. Some light bookkeeping and general office duties.... got the job
Spent almost 8 years at that job, during which time I had another awful relationship with an older man with issues... I tried and I tried but could not keep putting myself and my teenagers through the torment and hell of being involved with a drunk who only worked when he decided he wanted to...
Along came my first grand baby... yes grand baby at barely 38 years old
Out went the drunk....
