Bushbuck Down Jackets

We've been eyeing a few bushbuck jackets for a few months now ever since we came across them at the A&P show at Hamilton end of October last year.

We went to the only Bushbuck outlet which is at Christchurch to confirm our sizing because we planned to buy online. Although they only have one physical store, they often have pop-up stores at events but stocks and sizings are limited.

I have been considering the Furnance LT Waterproof Down Puffer Jacket and BushBuck Polar X Puffer Jacket but decided to go for the latter because it's cheaper but the staff at the Bushbuck told me that I could fit a kids size better because the jackets were a bit long on my body.

For the Polar X Down Puffer Jacket, I wear XS and for the Kids Polar X Down Puffer Jacket, I wear XL. At a discounted price, it's $300 and $160 respectively.

There is a slight difference between these 2 jackets. The polar jacket has RDS Certified Duck Down which are lighter and works better in cold and dry climates whereas the synthetic down in the kids polar ones are a little heavier but work better in cold and wet climates. I would definitely choose the latter if I ever want to buy a puffer jacket because of the price.
