First, Scarlett keeps Kian alive. More importantly though is that they inspire each other without the other realizing. They are each other’s muses and push another to do better, not in a competitive way but in a state of growing as people together. They are comfortable in their own spaces together and coming to be one in a matter of seconds. Both respect their individual natures and encourage them. Even better is that Kian makes Scarlett feel like the most beautiful girl in the world even if he’s never actually said it to her.
