Upthur began to pace, talking fast. “Splatter?! He’s the best ever!! Except for Vivi of course I love her too! But he’s really smart and he he cares a whole lot and when he’s around I feel like I’m gonna bounce all around and I really wanna kiss him he’s so cute and he’s so nice and he gave me things for christmas did you know!? He makes me so happy! He once gave Arthur a hug and it was so warm and safe I really want to do that again at some point!! If he likes me that’d be amazing!!”

Downthur was seated on the ground. He shrugged. “I like him. He’s safe. He’s been through a lot. But he’s strong. And still kind. I admire him. I doubt he’d feel that way about Arthur, though. Arthur’s a mess. And he’s too good for me. And for Arthur.” He spoke with a nonchalance.
