Super proud of this girl today. She sat with me at Panera and was so calm and relaxed. Took a trip to Osbourne's Agway and we bought some training treats Then did a 3 mile walk through downtown Concord. She encountered dogs and people and smells and sounds, everything!! Everyone we encountered marveled at how well behaved and sweet she is. Now she's snoozing. Such a super pup!! Pretty sure Ellie now thinks she owns the city of Concord. Day three with our foster pup. She is finding her voice. I asked her to sit and stay for this photo and she woofed and grumbled. Note to self, let Ellie have her morning zoomies in the backyard before we take our structured walk. Ellie is about 2, still a very playful pup. Her play comes in a bullet like fashion where she zips and zooms, does a few pirouettes, dances a bit on her hind legs, comes dangerously close to wiping me out and then collapses in the shade grinning ear to ear. She now wants me to go back to bed. She is definitely food motivated so we'll start some training with her soon. Nothing tires a pup out more than working the mind. Walking in #downtownconcord last night outside the @cabarrus_creamery with @imahoot93 and I caught a glimpse of something sunny, and had to investigate what it was under this plant, inside this planter, that caught my eye. When I saw what it said I knew it was a sign. If you know or not, last week I choose to do the most spontaneous thing in my life, and quit my pretty full time job, to ensure my semester at school ended strong, and to give myself a break after all these years. Well, I'm good, I'm covered, and this bit of sunshine at night really brought some peace to my ever questioning mind.
