Dowsing Rod:
A dowsing rod is a y shaped branch, or metal tongs [separated] Sometimes made of hazel, rowan or willow wood. Used to detect hidden substances like water, minerals, treasure, archaeological remains or even dead bodies.
They prefer dowser over divination as that is not considered part of the process. Water firms in the Uk even admit to using dowsing rods to detect water substances. But most are unsure whether it's something to take seriously and has some truth to finding the substance of water OR if it's just superstition. [Uk Dowsing/ Source]

Wishbone:
Finding a wishbone and snapping it, the one with the bigger half makes a wish- where does that come from?

Blow out a Dandelion:
Legend has it that, if you can blow all the seeds off a dandelion with a single breath, then the person you love will love you back. If seeds remain, then the object of your affection may have reservations about their feelings toward you. Most blow it out to make wishes.

Blow out the Candles:
One of the most common birthday traditions is making a wish and blowing out candles. This tradition has been around since ancient times. Many of those ancient cultures believed that the smoke from the candles carried a person's wishes and prayers to the gods.
Jack O' Lantern.
Its name comes from the reported phenomenon of strange lights flickering over peat bogs, called will-o'-the-wisps or jack-o'-lanterns. The name is also tied to the Irish legend of Stingy Jack, a drunkard who bargains with Satan and is doomed to roam the Earth with only a hollowed turnip to light his way. [I'll go more into detail later, in another post so bare with this one at the moment]
