Is there any interest in a live action version of Dragon Quest? And as a movie, or a tv series?

Not that im aware of.

There is Dragon Quest Fantasia and The Hero Yoshihiko, though. The first one is a bit of a mix of DQ1 and 2; and Yoshihiko is a parody dorama with many DQ references (the protagonist wears the same clothes as the DQ5 protagonist) and some of the actors that appear have voiced DQ characters (Takayuki Yamada, the protagonist, voiced Caesar in DQH2; and Shōko Nakagawa, who made a cameo as Alena, voiced her in both DQH games and played her in the live spectacle show).
