“Oh!” Now there was a lion in this school?! Did the teachers even know such a beast was resting here? Then again, he paraded the bear around somewhat regularly, so perhaps they did? He seemed to have a thing for dangerous animals.

Moreover, was he trying to dodge the question? Aslan had been quiet up until he mentioned something about noise. If he was this careful about it, she must have been somewhat close to the truth. But why was a birthday such a big deal?

She knew better than to press her luck with the other. If he didn’t want her knowing the date, so be it. She’d just have to guess with presents.

“I didn’t know a lion was in here! You really can tame any beast, Tanaka-san...” She mused, changing the subject. “How long have you known Aslan?”

“Valentine’s day is coming up... I wonder what I can do for it..”

So, New Years festivities had gotten out of hand, it looked like. That had to be the reason some of the lockers, including her own, had graffiti covering them. It didn’t appear to have any sort of pattern to it, she was just unlucky.

She looked over the entire mess with a dejected sigh, noticing the white uniform of a passerby out of the corner of her eye. She recognized that movement, that clothing. “Hey, Ishimaru-san?” Wrenne asked, bashfully. “Do you know where the cleaning supplies are kept?”

He reminded her of a tiger. Beautiful, in its own way- and absolutely terrifying. He’d seen her, so there was no getting around that. She inched her way closer to the staircase, ready to bolt as soon as she got close enough.

“I-I’ll pass, thanks.”

Wrenne wasn’t the athletic sort, not really. She did enough to keep herself healthy and fit, but training muscles took up valuable time that she could be spending on her talent, training and honing it further.

That didn’t prevent her from speeding down the school hall as fast as her legs could carry her, though. At least, not right now.

With ten minutes to spare before a deadline and files that had been left in the mixing room, the woman didn’t care who saw her as she sprinted towards her destination, desperate to grab what she needed so she could complete her task on time.

“Oh, hello?” Of course, the library was probably frequented by students now, given that exams were fast approaching. She was in there now for that very reason. Still, it had been so quiet when she came in, she never expected there to be someone else here. The power going out was unexpected, of course- early winter storm, perhaps? With no windows, the library was pitch black. At least she wasn’t in here alone.

Whoever was talking seemed to be frightened... and she couldn’t recognize the voice right off. “I didn’t know anyone else was in here.”

She would have come in costume but…. given it had ears and a tail, she wasn’t sure how he would react to that. The rest of the students in the school were going all out too, but Gundham- he seemed like he lived for this kind of thing. Already he was interested in spirits and the taboo, so a night full of haunted mischief seemed right up his alley. She could only imagine what he was planning.

“If I can help with anything, just let me know! I’d be more than happy to.” It beat trying to remix the hundredth Halloween song for the school party. There was only so much classic spooky music she could take before she needed a break. Otherwise those tunes would be stuck in her head all week, and that was already a given for after the party.

“Oh? Ah, yes, help would be nice.” She’d probably lost her grip on the object upon bumping into him, and that was what ended with her project being stuck in the space between the lockers. “What can we do? I can’t fit my hand in there.” She attempted to do so, to prove her point, her palm being barely too wide to fit into the dust filled crevice that now housed the flash drive.

“Do you have something I can use to snag it, maybe?” Her headphones were out of the question, and even something like a pencil was just a bit too short. There was no way she was giving up on it, though. Not when a month’s worth of hard work was out of reach.
