DR 12: Part 2 Update

Hi, all. Thanks for hanging in there and being patient as you wait for Part 2 to be released.

Unfortunately, an accident caused a bad infection on my leg and I've been in and out of the hospital and clinics for the last 3 months. This has eaten up a lot of my time at work, which then eats into free time making up the hours so I can get paid and live, and not destroy all my PTO. This infection is also unfortunately atypical and no one can identify exactly what it is for exact treatments. I've been on SO many antibiotics, IV infusions, and antifungals, I've lost count.

Anywhoo... despite all this, I am plugging away as best as I can on the story.

I am currently in the middle of writing Chapter 3. And last night, I had the brilliant idea of adding a scene that will set up Chapter 4 and others later on, as well as give us more time with Alexia. So, that makes me now a third of the way through. 😆 (Even with a robust outline, some things happen on the fly. 🤣)

However, I do plan to release Chapter 1 the week of Thanksgiving - keeping my promise that something would be released before then. 😊 I don't know if it will be the Sunday or the Wednesday before or any day in between, but CH 1 will be released sometime then.

CH 2 will be released 1 or 2 weeks after. And that should give me enough time to finish up CH 3 for releasing 1-2 weeks post CH 2.

...This is the rough idea anyway.

DR 12: Part 2 Update

I just realized it's been a while since I've posted anything or given an update. Sorry about that. This month has been crazy busy. It's an insane time of year for work.

I had hoped to get Chapter 5 out by the end of the month, but that's not happening, obviously. I have been slowly plugging away at it - a few paragraphs here and there when I get the time and brain power to devote to it. I am about 3/4 the way through - currently at 16k words. So, another 4k-5k to go.

And from what I understand, most writers do about 4k-5k per chapter. I am usually 20k-30k per chapter. (What's wrong with me?!) 🤣 So, while my chapters take longer to get out, you're getting 5-6x the content. I hope that makes you all feel better about any delays - it does for me. A little. Okay, a tiny bit. I still want this story out of my brain and written right NOW!! 🤣🤣🤣

DR 12: Part 2 Update

For those of you in the Sates - Happy Memorial Day weekend! I hope you have a great relaxing extended weekend.

This weekend, please try to remember that we celebrate Memorial Day as the closing of World War II. Victory Day elsewhere, celebrating the same, was earlier this month. These holidays are important to remember - especially now more than ever. WWII was a HUGE fight against fascism, tyranny, and genocide - much of what many of us around the world still face today. Remember those brave men and women who rose up and fought such evils to give us all a better life. May we never have to come to such extreme measures ever again.

Now, on to the update! 😀

I am slowly plugging away at the next chapter. I am finding I am having less and less private time to sit and write. Not only is work becoming a bear, but this new living arrangement I am in makes it difficult to find any quality alone time for just thinking, let alone writing, on such matters.

I do get ideas in my head at various time, and I can occasionally jot them down - generally, as I lay in bed at night trying to sleep. I keep my laptop in my bedroom for such instances. I do sometimes find an hour or two free where I can get a couple paragraphs written or if I'm lucky, and entire page! But it's not enough. Sorry.

Good news and bad news...

Context: My roommates, who are dear friends, and I came together to consolidate bills and save money in this horrible economy. Was going well and being social with them was good for my introverted loner self.

The Bad News: My roommates can't keep from fighting which affects all of us. 😭 So, we're all going our separate ways at the end of our lease towards the end of the year. 😢 That will mean more stress and more money out of my pocket for moving and I'll be living on my own once more and not saving as much money as I want or need. 😢😢

The Good News: Same thing, really - I'll be on my own once again and will have more alone time to sit, think, plan, and write. So, I should be able to get back to the normal schedule of getting these chapters out in 6 weeks (give or take).

So, in the meantime (pretty much for the rest of this year)... thanks for your patience and understanding as I work through this. Please know I am always wanting to get more written and out to you all. I have NO plans on stopping or leaving this story unfinished.

DR 12: Part 2 Update

Hi all. Thanks for patiently waiting for Chapter 5. I just finished the draft, but there is a section I may want to change. I need to read it again with fresh eyes to see if this is how I want the character to be portrayed in this part. So... just a little while longer before release. 😊

Chapter 6 will not be as long as this one - more along the lines of Chapter 4's length. So hopefully, it won't take too long to crank out. *knock on wood* ...and hopefully, life and adulting will stop interfering! 😆

Chapter 4 - Kelly's Reward

For getting John a discount on the hotel rooms and letting him use her boyfriend Wally for his scheme – Kelly insisted on some alone time with Daddy and Alexia. However, John brings two friends to play as well.

This is just a bonus scene of fun action occurring after the events. It's short at only roughly 5k words.

DR 12: Part 2 UPDATE

Just completed the draft of Chapter 2 of DR 12: Part 2. Now, on to working on Chapter 3!

Several have asked - it will most likely be sometime in November before anything is released. I hope to have the 3 chapters out before Thanksgiving. ...provided life and adulting doesn't interfere and derail things. *knock on wood*

Ch 1 = Meeting up with some old friends for some new kinks!

Ch 2 = More old friends and we get to explore a little more of their lives and the MC's life. There is a lot story progression here other than just sex scenes, but there are plenty of those too.

Ch 3 = Again, "Hunting the Pride"
