Ooh you said Mikan and Nagito are particularly butting heads in your Beastars AU? Are there any other almost "rivals" in the AU? And why are they against eachother?

Yes! In Nagito and Mikan’s case, they repel one another because they’re see too much of themselves in the other—as well as naturally repelling each other as rabbits.

Some other rivals are:

Taka and Mondo: LOTS of beef there, and I mean lots. Mondo resents Taka’s family, and Taka resents Mondo’s actions against his family

Hiyoko and Mikan: Same as canon, but Mikan fights back more

Toko and Makoto: Oddly enough, Toko likes to pick on Makoto, and he can’t stand her pessimism. It started when Toko hoarded all of Makoto’s favourite snacks from the cafeteria AND every convenience store in the area

Sakura and Mondo: Big carnivores tend to steer clear of one another, but when they can’t…yikes

Leon and carnivores: He immediately picks a fight with any carnivore, big or small

Yasuhiro and Aoi: he hogs the pool! And doesn’t even swim! Just floats! Aoi hates it.

Nagito and Hajime: for a while…but you know how these two end up :P

Kazuichi and Gundham: for Sonia’s affection…but it’s very one-sided. Gundham doesn’t really consider Kazuichi even an acquaintance

Teruteru and Mahiru: she HATES it when he hits on the girls and he hates that she scares him off

Kiibo and Kokichi: yup, still robophohic

Tenko and Korekiyo: Tenko is too loud, Korekiyo is too creepy, two waterfowl in close proximity…

Tsumugi and Shuichi: she flaunts her confidence in flying as well as her criminal ways. Shucihi vows to stop her
