You know what? At this point I feel like Tumblr needs a shady/mad doctor appreciation club. Why? Because the majority of the shady/mad doctors I simp over, I found through Tumblr. I feel like this website is trying to enable my addiction to that VERY specific character trope.

Anyways... if no one else is gonna make it a thing, I will.

Danny HCs (Part 1/?)

For context I base him heavily off AOD episode 0! I really like how he's characterized--He's such a deep, complex character with so many issues that he's struggling with and God. I just love him. He's not a pedophile, he's not a "creepy weirdo character", he's just a depressed, insecure man who doesn't know what to do when faced with love!!

Danny is severely uncomfortable with compliments and comments on his appearance. Even if he may not show it outright, if you make any comment about his looks--be it positive, negative, or neutral, he becomes uncomfortable.

Again, it doesn't matter what's said to him; it can be something as simple as "your hair looks nice today!" And he'd freeze, plaster on a fake smile, and then change the subject.

And dear GOD never compliment him. He completely shuts down, and not in the cute, flustered way: he starts sweating, goes pale, and tries to talk about something else, but if he can't, he just goes nonverbal.

The reason for this, of course, is because he doesn't believe it. What do you mean he's pretty? He looks nice? Are you kidding? He thinks he's a monster. He's not a human. Compliments, comments, everything, they're fake. They're lies. Why are you lying to him? Are you trying to make fun of him? He hates it. He feels horrible. He doesn't want to be here anymore.

He is SUCH a relatable character I adore him and I have SO many HCs for this silly little man
