Hi I am employed now (kind of) so if I'm inactive don't worry like before. Temp/gig work for an app and delivery for a different app. But I finally got to go to the mudd, surratt houses and Ford's, as well as the civil war medicine museum in Frederick! I will post the photos of this and Tudor Hall as soon as I have time to edit them!

This is another of my back up images which I am letting post as the year ends. The Dry Tortugas - August 2005 Fort Jefferson was built as an advance defense perimeter on the Dry Tortugas, but never was completed or saw battle. It was too easy to sail around and way to expensive to man and maintain. It ended up being a prison island for notorious prisoners like “Doctor Mudd” who had the misfortune to treat John Wilkes Booth for a broken ankle. It is now a tourist destination... as long as you bring your own water and restroom facilities. This particular image was taken from what was intended to be a gun position. I don’t know if this was a portal that was widened for some purpose or if they just put a hole in the wall for some reason, but it makes a great frame to the beautiful scenery of the island. MWM
