Adrian struggles with anorexia nervosa, which he feels as though he does not get to "claim" that he struggles with due to not being able to identify a direct cause. Combined with the fact it is often overlooked or not diagnosed in men; it has led him to hide this fact about himself from others out of internalized shame.
Ropter currently hosts a semi-sentient brain eating parasite in his body, which has caused both him and others (who have experienced the side effects of the illness itself, and those who have experienced the brief moments in which he loses control of his body to the parasite) immense grief. He keeps the entire thing close to his chest because admitting it means admitting to what he did under its effects.
