Shirabe Meshi has gone back to having full chapters released at once instead of breaking it into halves released a week apart, so the entirety of chapter 45 is out now. On top of that, volume 7 releases on December 17.

This chapter opens with Shirabe, Kirika, and Serena at Chris' apartment. Shirabe is making popcorn and caramel corn for everyone to snack on

They sit down and turn on the TV. Kanade and Tsubasa are onstage performing when suddenly...

...The zombies attack

So Kanade and Tsubasa are forced to fight them off with their trusty nail bat and sword

Chris: "So this is the silver screen debut of Senpai's swordsmanship"

Shirabe: "To think her acting skills in that sushi commercial were so well received that she'd end up the main character in a movie"

...Yeah it's a movie. Don't worry, Zwei Wing's concert isn't really getting attacked again

Kanade starts drawing zombies to herself by singing but then...they start getting shot up

Maria has arrived to help. Tsubasa is confused at first since Maria is supposed to be an idol

As it turns out, she's actually an agent whose job is preventing disasters like this

Chris comments that they were really eager to appear in the movie, however, she turned it down

Shirabe: "You really wanted to go though"

Chris: "Cram it!"

Kirika: "I wanted to see you break through all those zombies with Armor Purge"

Chris: "What the hell would I be purging without my Gear???"

The title of the movie appears. The "Diva of the World" sign for the concert is busted up and "of the World" has been replaced with "of the Dead"

Shirabe takes out her phone and starts reading a summary of the plot causing Kirika to cover her ears and start whining about spoilers

A bit more into the movie and there's a love triangle between Tsubasa, Kanade, and Maria. Tsubasa doesn't know which one to go with and the group is screaming at the screen that it doesn't matter because a large horde of zombies is approaching

Meanwhile Serena is just saying stuff about how Maria should win an Oscar

A fan with an axe appears saying he'll protect Tsubasa. Serena tells everyone to listen closely because a good Maria scene is coming and Shirabe realizes Serena has probably already seen the movie.

Maria faces the zombie horde only to be overtaken by them. Meanwhile, the fan has gotten Tsubasa out of there but now she's been separated from Kanade

They come across the big bad of the movie

Chris: "Hey doesn't that evil scientist look like Ver?"

Kirika: "He was never that good looking"

The "fan" reveals he brought Tsubasa to him in an attempt to become part of Not Ver's "Big Four" (Chris: "Big Four? That's a thing?!")

Kanade appears and says "Oh yeah I already defeated them"

As the Evil Scientist who is totally not Ver lays dying, he says that he could've made the ultimate zombie soldiers if he just had Tsubasa Kazanari's "special blood" ("What an obvious sequel hook!")

It's suddenly revealed that Maria is still alive and has obtained an antibody for the zombie virus and the movie ends with them heading to the CDC to deliver it

The theme song playing in the credits is apparently a song by Tsubasa, Kanade, and Maria (the credits list Shinji Ogawa as Editor, Yatsuhiro Kazanari as Executive Producer, and gives special thanks to the Squad of Nexus Guardians)

Chris doesn't get how none of them died (Serena: "They all made it out okay...except the evil mastermind") and Shirabe wants to know what happened with the love triangle

But at some point during the movie they forgot about the popcorn. It's still good despite being cold, but they're hungry. Kirika says the cheese dog the evil scientist was eating looked good

So Shirabe hits the kitchen again and makes the hot dog from the movie for everyone

Serena wonders how they even became zombies in the first place and Kirika starts freaking out at the idea that maybe the virus was in the cheese dog

Shirabe: "Perhaps there is a 'winner' among us"

Kirika: "Come on, Shirabe, don't say freaky stuff like that"

"Call Nastassja, I want her to see this."

The results are in! Not sure how much better this actually is, but it's unexpected!
