<Spoilers for Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, Danganronpa: IF and Danganronpa Zero>

Here's a thing Danganronpa: IF made me realize.

Junko cared about Mukuro.

I know that sounds weird because, well, Junko killed Mukuro.

But Mukuro explained it herself.

"That's right... You didn't do anything wrong, Junko. You just wanted to feel despair, that's all. Right?" Because you love me... That's why you wanted to kill me. You were just trying to feel despair, right? I'm sorry. I'm sorry I failed to bring you despair."

Notice that the reason she killed Mukuro was to feel despair. If she didn't care about Mukuro she wouldn't have killed her as that wouldn't have given her any feelings of despair.

Mukuro wasn't the only person Junko killed for this reason either. In Danganronpa Zero, we meet Yasuke. He was Junkos best friend and crush. In the end of Danganronpa Zero, Junko kills Yasuke. Why? To feel despair due to the death of a loved one.

Now you might say "Well, why did she abuse Mukuro then?"

Now I have two answers for this:

She wanted Mukuro to feel despair as well, and what other way to feel despair than being bullied by the person you admire and your only family member?

Junko's just a bitch :/

Now I might've missed some points so I'm opened for criticism.
