See, lately I listened to Led Zeppelin's 'Whole Lotta Love' and hummed along, and then, bam! My mind went into the gutter and crawled back, whispering, "You remember Gemma's Big Dick Silver fic? OH BOYYYYYYY listen i know this is gonna make me sound 20 years older than i actually am but i was OBSESSED with Zep in college!!! i had a poster over my bed and basically lived in a shirt with the Led Zeppelin III poster and watched The Song Remains the Same more than once which is honestly one time too many. i LOVE led zeppelin and if i didn’t have to go to work right now i’d be coming up with a Led Zeppelin playlist for every one of my fics or at least every Black Sails character because I COULD DO IT EASILY

so yes i’m saying i never thought of it before but you’re absolutely right

I guess this would be a proper opportunity to acknowledge that I had a dreary 6 hour commute last weekend (2x 6 hours to be precise) and I found the downloaded cowboy au on my mobile and it fucking undoubtly blessed that ride I want to say. I was mighty impressed (again), because seriously?? I'm without decent words, I swear. Sorry. I mean you should know by now that I worship your writing-- but how you flawlessly flesh out every body that's not Silver or Flint? GUH. Also, it's toe-tingly hot.

But my favourite might be the Orange verse? Or their weird non-touchy super UST-y tip-toeing around each other? How in every 'verse your Flint is just kind of down with the fact that he's utterly fucking LOST because of/with/smitten with Silver? And Silver is that vortex, sucking up Flint's devotion like a starving thing. It's breaking something within me every time, all the time. Thank you for every thing you ever wrote and you'll ever write. Seriously!

i’m so thrilled when i hear people taking me along their commutes or reading all night, because for 15 years i was only doing the same (not writing anything myself), and fanfic got me through such HELL, and it makes me so happy to know i’m paying it forward haha

i’m a firm believer in the idea that Flint never denies himself a feeling. i think he wanted that booty from day 1, though he didn’t of course like Silver as a person. so when he started knowing Silver and falling in love with him, there was never a moment of pretending it wasn’t anything else. even in the show, he always looks at silver like “yep this is my life now.” which makes my various “weirdly intimate non-sexual touching” fics the MOST fun to write 

and don’t talk to me about Silver being affection-starved because A) i’ll be here for hours and B) i’m be crying the whole time. HE IS SO!!! THEY ARE! SO!
