ok it's kinda unclear if dr. dee is dead or not, so i guess i'll post this
yknow, i think it's ok to assume that dr. dee is most likely long gone (and i mean dead) after dr. kel arrives on base, taking the contents of his diary and the condition of the base in count. but i think it would be kinda funny if it would be a "the animal doesn't understand that it is being helped" kind of situation.
like. dr. dee most probably noticed ariral activity as well ("i want to believe" poster, diary mentioning weird signals trying to speak to him), and we know that arirals are aware of the dangers of the area.
so that leads me to this vision. dr. dee running away from the pink lights that he mentioned in the last entry of his diary, he gets back to the base to write the "get out of here" and THEN the arirals are getting him out, with him crying and pissing the whole way because invisible aliens abducting you right after a hostile encounter with another alien and with no explanation is a stressful situation, understandably. and arirals trying not to cuss him out because he's NOT helping them help HIM.
