Here's the funny thing about that: By technicality, it is canon. However, it's official in an alternate timeline. As far as the actual timeline goes, they merely fall under the enemies to friends trope. Though that ain't stopping Sam from eventually growing feelings for Doogood.

He doesn't use it. He's too busy working to acknowledge its existence half the time. Even when he is aware of it, he doesn't grasp what it truly is. Though he does know it isn't healthy to be on it 24/7, a fact he learned while observing his younger coworkers.

y did you give doogood a curse similar to sam's?

I used one of my interpretations of Tiger General as a base for Doogood and thought it'd be funny for Doogood to retain that aspect from Happy Tree Friends. Much like how Sam was born a Happy Tree Friends OC and still kept coming back to life.
