Im Zuge meines SelfCare-???-Marathons höre ich mir gerade noch einmal die Franklin-Saga an und mir platzt angesichts eines Dialogs zwischen Justus und der alten Gastlighterin in "Signale aus dem Jenseits" beinahe die Hutschnur:

Franklin: "Wer warst du nochmal?"

Justus (trocken) "Justus Jonas"

Wenn es eigentlich hätte heißen müssen:

"äh, der Teenager(!), den du erschießen lassen wolltest, Bitch?!"

Ivanova: You seem troubled, doctor.

Dr. Franklin: No, I'm just thinking. The Ikarrans fought against invaders just like we fought against the Minbari. They became obsessed with it. Back home there's a growing pro-Earth movement. Rumors of hate-groups targeting aliens. And on all sides: the fanatics think that society has to be protected against anyone who's different. I'm starting to wonder if what we just saw is a preview of things to come.

Ivanova: No, I can't believe we'd be that foolish.

Dr. Franklin: *scoffs*

Ivanova: Santayana.

Dr. Franklin: *looks at Ivanova for an explanation*

Ivanova: Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it.

Some dude: Dr. Franklin. I have orders to confiscate the artifact and return it to Earth Central.

Dr. Franklin: On whose authority?

Some dude: Earth Force Defense: Bioweapons division. Something about studying them for planetary security reasons.

Ivanova: It would seem no one reads Santayana anymore. If you'll excuse me, I'll be over there getting drunk with the rest of the aliens.
