Mr. Griffin HC’s Because I May be a Tad Obsessed at This Point (H. G. Wells’ Novel Edition)
These HC’s apply to Griffin from the original novel The Invisible Man, and may include a few details for a sequel of sorts that I have planned (aka HC’s that only make sense if Griffin hadn’t died and he and Dr. Kemp became a reluctant duo):
Has always loved science
Has a man-crush on some of science’s greatest contributors (actually I saw this on @milliegriffin‘s blog and I acknowledge it as completely factual)
If posters were a thing back then, he would’ve had posters of said scientific men in his apartment
Likes glass cups
Is not a fan of wearing suits and fancy clothing
Dislikes loud noises
Doesn’t like been stared at for any reason
He talks too much for an invisible man
Dr. Kemp and he get along better than either would care to admit
Kemp gives Griffin loud foods to snack on
Griffin hasn’t caught on to this yet
He just happens to like apples, carrots, and hard sweets
Now Kemp knows where he is; all he has to do is follow the sound of chewing
Dr. Kemp probably has no more coats because he keeps lending them to Griffin
Griffin ran away from home so many times as a kid
Is constantly losing his bandages, goggles, hat, etc.
Rather impulsive, especially when he lets his anger boil over
He and Kemp bicker constantly
“...And that’s my thinking on the matter, for the last time, Kemp!”
“Ah,” Kemp responds without missing a beat, “I think I see your point.”
Only after Griffin leaves the conversation does he realize the horrible pun

Dr. Kemp makes a lot of horrible puns about Griffin’s condition
Dr. Kemp and Mr. Utterson would probably get along
Neither Dr. Kemp nor Griffin are keen on using weapons, though Griffin will resort or brute force more readily than Kemp
Griffin is rather good at quick concise communication. The real problem is him not accepting criticism or alternate suggestions
Griffin does not like big fires - anything other than a fireplace is problematic
Dr. Kemp is not keen on fire, either...though for...other reasons
Dr. Kemp has been to the Invisible Man Inn-place, Griffin has not.
Dr. Kemp really wants to take Griffin there just to be witness to that man’s reaction
