Will man leben oder sterben? -

Dr. Derek Shepherd
Jane Doe
Request: Can you do a story that's Derek Shepherd x reader. Maybe she like a nurse at the hospital and she gets in a car accident w/ a head injury but she didn't have ID on her so no one knew it was her until McDreamy looked at her face
Derek Shepherd x Reader

“Who do we have?” Christina walked up the ambulance as they were taking the gurney off the back.
“Jane Doe. She didn’t have any identification on her. She was in a bad car crash. Went head on into a Semi. Serious damage to her head. Chest is severely bruised most likely has broken ribs. Also has a broken arm and leg.”
As soon as Christina laid eyes on the patient, she knew this was going to be a tough case and she knew she also had to get in on one of the surgeries. “Trauma 1! Incoming!” Christina yelled as she took the gurney from the paramedic and pushed it into the room.
Soon the room was full of doctors: some running tests and some hovering just trying to learn from the attendants “We need to get her into the OR now.” Dr. Burke said harshly as he shined a light into the patients eye noticing both pupils were blown. “She’s also bleeding internally. I need to get in there and try to stop it.”
“Page Shepherd!” Christina pointed to one of the nurses.
“Who do we have?” Shepherd asked as he came up behind Burke - both heading towards the elevator.
“Jane Doe.” Burke replied as he watched Yang push the gurney into the elevator, him and Shepherd following.
Shepherd nodded but leaned forward anyways to take a peek at the patient he was probably going to spend many hours trying to save the life of. As soon as he saw who it was, his heart immediately stopped and his throat went dry.
“That’s not a Jane Doe.” Derek forced out as he cleared his throat. The elevators dinged signaling they were on the right floor and everyone flooded out to get the patient set up.
“What?” Burke glanced at him then at the patient. “Who is it? Do you know her?”
Shepherd forced himself to pull his eyes away from you to glare at Dr. Burke. “You don’t? She works here. She’s one of the nurses!” He couldn’t believe that out of the time you’ve been laying on that gurney, no one had taken notice of who it was.
Burke’s eyes widened at his sudden outburst then glanced at you one last time- a look of confusion, when he still didn’t recognize you, showed on his face as he looked back at Derek.
“I’m sor-”
“Her name’s Y/n. Y/n Y/l/n.” Derek interrupted as he pressed the button with his elbow to get into the OR.
“Are you sure you’re okay to do this?” Burke watched him with concern. “Seems like you two are close.”
The truth was you two weren’t even that close. You’ve talked a couple times when you ran into each other but those were the highlights of his day - when he got to talk to you.
“I’m fine.” Derek pushed his feelings aside. “There is no way she’s dying on that table today.”
