When Mallek leaves your block, you jump from the resting platform, coming over to the mirror to check out the extent of your wounds and how far healed they are. You think you might get a few scars where you were truly stabbed by Marvus’ blade,

A few of the lacerations Tegiri got in probably will also be scars, if not for a short amount of time at least-

You stare at the mirror, at the beautymark right under your left eye, and then at your own eyes.

Your hand expertly reaches into the small suitcase sitting on the daystand besides the mirror and opens the latches before getting it open. Starting to take care of the skin of your scratched face and avoiding the wounds carefully.

No excuses for lazy behavior just because you’ve gotten in two lethal fights. You won’t accept looking less than you are just because of some curveballs thrown your way.

Are you dead?

No, not yet. But you push your luck everynight, and you feel like it much more than the usual these nights. Where have you been? Many asks and fills your dms and inbox, yet you ignore them, not even marking them as read as your usual.

You’ve been with someone famous.

A few nights ago, but not too many.

You’ve shown up at a mansion door and was recognized by a few that hangs around there, your outfit much more revealing and the makeup on your face hanging by a miracle at this point since you’ve just come out of a party. You step in easily, dodging purplebloods left and right by not allowing them to even properly graze or touch you.

Then you get to the ‘heart of the party’ in this case, which shows himself entertaining people from spot to spot, the focus and limelight on him and his crooked horns. One of the trolls almost hanging by your shoulder whispers something into your ear, and you shoot them a grin before returning to your usual resting face.

“Marvus Xoloto!” You call out, watching his head turn, and by the small changes in his disposition, you can tell he probably recognizes you, your reputation does precede you, you’re not surprised. “I’m Lanque Bombyx-” You start, smirking and stepping towards him without a hint of hesitation. “Nice to finally meet you.” 

This is not going to end well.

Observe Fate.

While you’ve handed a copy of papers to one of the interest parties, you still have hold on the original, and make sure to make yet another copy, for other reasons. 

You are handling other interested parties that wants fate to establish itself as it should, you want to stick a hand in causality, even if a meaningless one. It’s because of these actions that you’ve performed that major changes have happened so far.

So you are walking by some backalleys, some places that were often filthied up, places that many wouldn’t visit without reason. Well, that reason could be as simple as ‘feeling like cleaning this place’.

You wonder if the feedback will be positive just like the few last times, you don’t know exactly how these things operates, but you’re not terribly upset with everything going wrong.

You bring a hand out of the inner pockets of your coat, and with papers wrapped tightly in acid rain resistant materials, you drop the whole file. You don’t care to look back as you walk away.

Should these papers find the right person or not, it is fine by you.
