How long had it been since she was mad at him..? Clair had no idea, she angerly stomped around the gym’s office. Her larvitar eagerly followed her, making tiny grumbleing noises just like it’s trainer.
This of course, wasn’t new. The two cousins often had their arguments, and had them quite frequently. Lance believed Clair was being to reckless or hasty, Clair believed other wise. Lance would argue his point and Clair would argue back and it would keep up until they both went their seperate ways.
In this case, clear across the region almost.
“He’s just so frusterating sometimes!” the bluenette finally growled, throwing her hands up in frustration “Clair don’t do this, Clair don’t do that. Who does he think he is?” Overly protective, annoying and...and...like a brother.
Anger finally gave way to reason, and a sigh of efeeat finally came out. He did have a point, and even if she hated to admit it, she as in the wrong. “...I hate it when he’s right.” Herlarvitar bumpedinto her, looking up with a curious expression.
Forgive but I won’t forget. || Lance, Petrel, & Clair (mini thread chronicals)
A cruel smirk spread across his lips. “I can threaten her all I want because I’ve known her all her life and I’m simply looking out for her. I can certainly threaten you for what you did as a Rocket member and for what you did with her, and if that makes me a bad guy, then I’m fucking Giovanni.”
The blue haired gym leader- known for her quick mouth and brave heart, could only stare and watch as Lance, her beloved cousin and the man she had learned to fall in love with, faced each other down. With no trouble at all, the champion called forth all his dragon pokemon, turning away from Petrel for a moment, only to look back with a cold cold smirk.
“Thank you for bringing this up. To show my gratitude, you get a thirty second head start.”
She had thought to move, she had to...there was no way she could let Pet get hurt from a choice she made. This was all on her...she did this..
“Look at you, using force on someone that is completely defenseless.”
The Executive’s words brought her out of her train of thought, despite the danger present; he stood his ground. A glare formed on his face as he spoke, walking to only stare the red head down along with his dragon types. Lance only seemed to get more angry. The rage building into what she knew would come next...
“So you know what? Go ahead and send your army of Dragons on me. Prove to me that you’re the better man.
She had to think of something... she had to do something.
‘I don’t know what I can do....’
‘Still I know I’ve got to try...!”
‘Please don’t let it be too late...’
Her legs worked for her, carrying her closer to the building tension, putting herself right in the middle. He face scrunched in anger, but her eyes showing a little sadness...perhaps guilt. Clair needed to make things right.
“Lance. Leave him alone. If there’s anyone you should be angry at...be angry at me.” Ever so slowly, she took another step towards him, the expression changing t show the guilt that nearly made her throw up.
I’ve never met him, not once, but I have read stories and anthologies dedicated to the man. I know he’s powerful, maybe that’s all I really know, but I'm pretty sure he is dedicated — to his role of Champion, and to his family and friends. Many sobbed and mourned at the falling of Lance, and I think it’s only befitting as he (not only strong and skilled) seems like a kind person.
There was nothing Clair loved more than flying on her dragonite. The best time to do this, was at night when she could lay down back first on the dragon and watch the stars, or imagining she could touch the clouds during the day time, often even going as fast as her dragonite could go. This time though, she wouldn’t just be taking a ride. Oh no, this time she would fly with dragonite.
It was a part of her weird schemes to get a rush, the sense of adventure she’d been lacking in recent months. Her mother’s sudden illness didn’t help her attitude and to make it worse, she couldn’t get a hold of Lance to talk about it. Anything to prevent the tears...anything at all, to help distract her.
The winds seemed to be faster on top of the mountains that surrounded Blackthorn. To the North, lay the ice path and the lack of rage. To the west, Mahogany Town that you could barely make out from this distance. The young woman had been kneeling down, fixing up her contraption- a pair of gliders that would aid her in this endeavor, her dragonite looking slightly uncomfortable. “Are you ready sweetie?” She looked up at her partner, who reluctantly nodded and Clair smiled. She knew what she was doing after all.
“Let’s get it started then!” She put her design on her back, looked to dragonite and then ran into a jump with her eyes closed. She only opened them when she felt the familiar sensation, a wider smile breaking onto her face and with her dragon type joining her. “I’m- I’m doing it! It’s working--...”
Her eyes widened as the cliff in front of her suddenly started to go out of her reach. The smile dropped and she felt a rush of air, before she hit the ground.
----- -- -.. …. …. ..
The last thing the bluenette had remembered was the sensation of being in the air, how free she felt. But before she knew it, she was on the ground below and in pain. Her dragonite was gone- where was she..? Clair tried to get up, but a sharp pain in her arm made her cry out. “Shit..wh..what happened..” turning her head to the right, there were her gliders on the ground and now ruined. She must have fell… “I really did it this time..” she mumbled to herself.
Her head lazily went straight allowing her to look up at the sky. The clouds looked so nice..she thought she saw a shadow fly over her- a dragonite..? Maybe it was hers… her blue eyes drifted shut as hands grabbed her, hoisting her up. Maybe if she fell asleep..the pain would stop…. .. .
“She was lucky she wasn’t that high to begin with, but she’s got a number of fractures in her leg and her ar is broken in two places, with a dislocated shoulder.” Someone had said, behind the ajar door. A doctor..? Just where was she- oh.. “ugh..” she groaned realizing someone had gotten her to a hospital. of course- that’s where dragonite must have gone...it all made sense now.
The man whom she could only assume was the doctor came in, a smile on his face when he noticed she was awake. “How are you feeling Miss Clair?” she nearly rolled her eyes “Like crap..but not as bad.” “Well,” he started flipping through papers “That makes sense..you have quite the list of injuries but you were lucky considering.” The doctor pushed up his glasses, looking away from his note pad over to herself “I’m glad you’re doing better, it’s wonderful to see.”
Clair nodded, and had thought he’d leave it at that, but he had turned his head to the side, an inclination of addressing her. “By the way, you have a visitor. I’ll let him in.”
What did he mean by a visitor..? Clair looked puzzled, until a man with carmen hair and a cape to match stepped in the room, upset and worried look aside, it was rare to see him out like this..what in the world was he doing here..
1. “My mun loves to play Pokemon on a competitive level, and has placed highly in many local and region-wide tournaments! He’s never taken first though, so I guess me and him are both runner-up champs!”
2. “My mun takes great pride in his school: the University of Wisconsin-Madison! Seriously, his whole wardrobe is Badger Red! ON WISCONSIN!”
3. “My mun’s favorite type of music is EDM (although he will listen to anything) and his favorite artist of the moment is Savant.”
