“Hall, are you-- Hall? ... Ugh.” The fog starts creeping round the piled up carcasses of cars and trucks by the time he’s reached the old familiar junkyard. It’s late, dark and quiet, only a faint crackle of a radio and a few lights still turned on. Because his van has been claimed, he climbs up to sit in an open trunk on the fourth floor. A bot watches him. He looks on as the fog swallows the flicker and a bonfire down below him. He’d been gone for a good long while. Nothing’s changed.

After a few seconds he pulls the map from his bag and shakes his flashlight back to work. His finger trails a way to the coast. He won’t be able to hop zones in time to get to this year’s Halloween beach party. Haunted stranded ships. They’ll be awesome nonetheless, he grins, and pushes his hair out of his face. Maybe he’ll run into @r-d-2019 or his BDF @draculoidmain on the way. Everyone used to be out and about this time of year.

Pink Static: the day BLI came to her door to take her away from being mute. she's never felt that terrified in her life and, even after her years roaming the desert, she's never felt that terrified since. $20 Nosebleed: when she was going through withdrawals after escaping the city. they fucked her up bad and she's still haunted by some of the hallucinations she's had during them. 12. What are their thoughts on the time before the war? Pink: she's endlessly fascinated by old pre-war objects she finds and she spends a good amount of time trying to imagine what life was like back then. how different it might've been. the possibility of a time before the war hardly even seems real.20: she can't even begin to wrap her mind around a world before the war - before the city and the desert - so she doesn't even try. it feels even less real to her than it does for Pink. like an old legend eroded by time.
