“She’ll be coming ‘round the mountain when she comes, comes, comes, comes, comes, comes, comes, comes, comes!”
Daniel Radcliffe in Miracle Workers season 3 episode 4 (2021) dir. Andrew DeYoung
It's my total ambition at some point in my life to be in some massive shitty big disaster movie. But I'm in an amazing position, which is that I have a certain amount of financial security and that allows me to do things that make me happy, and things that will fulfill me and challenge me, with people I'll have a good time with. You hear horror stories about actors all the time, and I've worked with so few of them compared to the amount of stories I've heard. I've been incredibly lucky, and I do believe life is too short to work with arseholes.
get to know me meme ♥ 2/10 actors ♥ daniel radcliffe.
i used to be self conscious about my height, but then i thought “fuck that, i’m harry potter!”
I don’t really have mainstream tastes. People do ask me, ‘Why do you choose such weird movies?’ but I don’t think they’re weird, they’re just stories I’m interested in. Isn’t having weird tastes good, though? I think so. I think that’s better than always wanting to play the handsome hero. You think I’m weird? I’ll take that.
It's mainly about working hard and proving to people you're serious about it, and stretching yourself and learning. The mistake a lot of actors make, particularly young ones, is allowing themselves to feel that they're the finished articles, the bee's knees, and it's not true.
There were definitely times when I didn’t know what I was doing. When I got out into the real world and met other actors who had trained, I was like, ‘Jesus, I’ve got to go and find some sort of a process for myself.’
People tell me I look mournful. They say, ‘Cheer up, Dan, it’s not that bad!’ Sometimes I just look into space, which freaks people out. If I was ever required to do anything other than look haunted, I could. I’m a happy person.
