Just so you’re aware if things come off as weird, I’m slowly going through my 1300+ drafts and posting them. So some things are just tagged and tossed to the queue for random times, but also you have been and will be seeing several posts I’ve written with strange additions like, “Edit: this has been in my drafts for 2 years so here are my thoughts on it now” lmao. And then those are sent to the queue and.. I have no idea how the queue works, you may be seeing these over the course of some time. The shit in my drafts.. so far the oldest one I’ve found was at least from 3 years ago and I don’t think I’m anywhere near the end.
I’m interested to see what’s at the bottom. If I ever get there..
You also may see me reblogging something from you that you posted/reblogged months or years ago. That’s because it’s just been in the drafts from your blog for so long, not because I went through your content that far back just now lmao
Oh, you’ll also see a lot of survey type things people have tagged me in over the course of.. however far back they go lmao. So if you get tagged in something claiming YOU tagged ME... you did, but it’s ok if you’ve forgotten, because it’s been buried in my drafts for 1-4+ years, haha. I’ve never ignored you, just.. postponed you. XD

For the final draft of this format, I had fun! I started the draft with Kalitas, and everything else went pretty smooth from there. Black was pretty open. The guy to my left also started with a Kalitas, and then got a Linvala. Which was cool for him, but his deck wasn't very good, as I cut him off black and the guy to my right, who started the draft with a Linvala, cut him off white. Finished 2-1. I only lost to a guy playing a weird green deck with way too many Netcaster Spiders. Oh well.
This may very well be the documentation of the worst draft I ever had. (This is from last week) This really didn’t work, it was pretty terrible. In addition to this deck being terrible, I had to make some very painful Mulligans (4). Went 0-2 and dropped, I has a very good excuse to leave the draft.
Sunday’s draft deck. Boy, was this fun! This sort of control deck was great, finished 3-0 in a 10 people draft. I finally had a reason to actually play colorless mana sources! All of those colorless activations really over-performed. This deck lacked some three drops, but it managed just alright after all. The only rare I opened, by the way, was Goblin Dark-Dwellers. Such a great card. Black was wide open during the draft; I really tried reading the signals this time, and it worked (who’d pass a FOIL Oblivion Strike, right?). So I finally played black, and colorless. I think I ticked all my checkboxes for this format (except maybe a proper support deck, and opening a planeswalker/expedition). Ready for SOI, only three weeks to go!
What you're seeing here is the MMA draft we did this Friday, using the box I bought a while ago. I played the sunburst deck, and the faeries deck won the draft. The two other decks were just too awesome not to share: a BGw dredge/retrace deck, and a creatureless UR arcane deck. Also in this post, all of the money cards we opened (I count all the burn spells). This is a great environment, shame it's so expensive.
