I have been immersed in handwriting the outline for Topsy Turvy; my plan is to finish the outline to the end, and then post ch 5 (maybe ch six, depending) Friday night /early sat morning

And considering 10 lines for three to four chapters just became 12 pages (24 if you count the back) of handwriting in the outline bringing the total to about 45 pages (90 including the back pages). I still have several chapters to get to the end of it…I’m not sure how long this fic will end up being, (ch 2 was one half page of outline and ch 5 may take up about 4 outline pages) but I’m definitely going to be working on it well into the new year. I’m very invested in this fic and where it’s headed now, especially once into edits XD

I planned to work on a particularly cozy scene today, and lo and behold, it began to gently rain shortly after I woke up this morning. Clearly, it is the Lord's will that this book get written. 😤

I'm counting this as an ask, so here's a snippet from my the old guard AU fic:

It takes Parker fifteen hours to hit the streets of Boston. In that time, she squeezes in two naps, despite the fact that she hates sleeping on planes, and manages to get more glimpses of Alec Hardison. She hasn’t had these dreams in a long time, and she’d forgotten how vivid they can be. How disjointed they are. She catches flashes of him: sprawled across a soft queen-sized bed, eating burgers in a messy kitchen that would make Eliot all growly and irritated, and sitting in front of his computer with his headphones on. It’s all the makings of an ordinary life, but the furrow in his brow and the hunch of his shoulders say that he’s tense. Stressed. Like anybody in his shoes would be.

Not that Parker understands, even when she was in those very shoes 500 years ago. When she’d woken up from a fall from a very tall building during a heist that went very wrong, she’d been delighted to know that nothing could keep her bedbound again. No sprained ankles, no torn tendons, no broken bones. It had been her true freedom—but it wasn’t the same for any of the others. For some, it’d been an unnerving discovery. For some, it’d been an unbearable curse.

this one has been in my wip folder for a while. it's got a fair amount of plot. oh, and eliot used to be a viking. that's all I'm sharing :)

Would y'all like a Magical Siblings snippet this Monday? Of course you would, that's why you're here.

The Amazon Rainforest passes by in a blur beneath Nari’s titan. Its trembling footsteps are no longer destructive--rather, it seems as though the forest shifts to make way for the titan, guiding it towards its destination. And when Douxie looks back, all is as it was before. Back in the hands of its rightful owner, the titan is no longer a force for destruction. Douxie looks back at Nari to find her shooting him a bright smile over her shoulder.

“Any chance we can keep this thing after all this is over?!” Douxie shouts over the rushing wind. “This is leagues better than taking the bus!” Nari tips her head back and laughs joyously, her happiness causing the plants atop her titan to burst into bloom. Archie bats playfully at a petal that swoops past him, carried by the wind.

Sorry I keep missing Magical Siblings Monday--I've been trying to use every spare creative brain cell I have to finish up the RotT fic. Here's a tiny bit more Wings!Douxie to make up for it:

Douxie chokes out a disbelieving laugh as they lift and spread themselves out--he can’t tell if he’s the one controlling them or not, but they seem to be responding to his desire to get a better look all the same. The feathers are a glossy, inky black, warm like sunlight and soft against his skin. There is a viney pattern across the tops, glowing with the gentle green light of Nari’s magic. The tips of the primaries fade from black, to blue-green, to a brilliant blue, the same color that he always loved to put in his hair. He feels Nari’s magic give an affirmative hum at the thought--she has made them this way on purpose.

These will take you to where you are most needed, Nari says. You must go now.

Halfway done with the climax, then it's just a matter of drafting up the epilogue (which shouldn't take nearly as long as the action sequences do). Thank you all for being so patient! ✨
