Observing the area in person, didn’t feel welcoming. The narrowness for traffic flow makes it suffocating to commute to the streets on the opposite ends. The vibe of the place is quite daunting, as there is a sense of danger. When you move towards the lighting installation you don’t even realise that there is a car parking lot tucked away in the corner of the hidden alleyway. Especially for an audience that doesn’t know the city that well, it can be a  surprise to find a passageway like this. 

Purpose

“Concrete Jungle... for party animals...”

The purpose behind the locked gates and the shadowed concentrate (Opera House Lane), is to change the reception that people feel when they enter and exit the alleyway.
