Senate passes bill to include women in the draft

On Tuesday, senators voted in favor of a bill that would require women to register for the military draft when they turn 18, just as men do. According to the New York Times, if signed into law, the legislation would go into effect on Jan. 1, 2018 but would not apply to all women over 18 at that time.

Well I may have to sign up for the draft in America in the near future

On the upside: I'm happy about this because it means that women will be equal in the army On the downside: the draft is fucking stupid and now parents not only have to worry about losing their sons, but now they have to fear losing all the kids But also on the upside: there's so many people on our nation's army that it's very likely that we won't need the draft ever and people are considering abolishing the draft But also on the downside: a lot more people want to abolish the draft now and many of the only care because women might be in it. Which is fucking stupid. Conclusion: the draft is fucking pointless, but at least we're a step closer to equality (even if it's the draft)
