You put your arm around me as I laid down right beside you. We didn’t do anything. We weren’t planning on doing anything more. Just you and me— laying there in comfort. I was in your arms, you held me close. It was the best feeling in the world. I felt safe. I felt protected. Everything felt right. In that moment, it felt right to be with you. No f_cks given. We were happy. And that’s all that mattered.
