gheyo knights in a circle?
Only in a full Military circle and only if their ranks were already settled. Knight, is a rank, but it’s a base rank with no specialty. It’s expected to evolve to another rank and settle there.
Knights are usually the lower grade of hired help for Gheyos-for-hire, because they are more extra hands and muscle than a specialist. Usually, they look for work to find out what kind of circle suits their needs and to check for Suite compatibility.
Thanks for the ask!
ferros dragels?
I think I answered this somewhere already but I can’t find the post. Oh well. 😅
Ferros dragels are those who have feral potential. Feral potential is a 5-to-25% increase of raw strength and magical power. It’s a temporary boost but has permanent side effects of toughening scales, and rapid healing. It gives heightened instincts that makes a dragel extremely possessive, protective, and territorial. It has to be triggered, often showing up during a fight and will usually turn the tide in their favor.
Bonded Ferros dragels tend to have their dragel attributes more obviously on display or they may just keep claws, fangs or scales visible at all times. They are quite physically affectionate—requiring extra hugs/cuddles/skin-to-skin contact and often need a routine schedule to keep healthily occupied and content.
Unbonded Ferros dragels can fall into madness much faster than a non-Ferros, as it forces them towards an instinctive edge where they have no one or nothing to protect and forces them further into their instincts. Because of their destructive power, they’re usually called in to use their powers to boost spells/Circles.
It looks like stretch marks on their dragon form, but these marks will glow the same color as their eyes/magic.
Even if they are born with Ferros potential, it isn’t something that is cultivated. But, a 1% Ferros may never even activate or show obviously in their lifetime. Having that doesn’t automatically mean a dragel is able to access or shift into that peak potential at will.
Ferros dragels require at least three Pareya in their Circles and tend to have a higher ratio of Gheyo Jokers because they like to spar.
Does that help?
why is soula´s circle so small and with no gheyo joker?
I don’t think I’ve actually said how many Bonded she has at the end of the story? 🤫 😏
Her circle is the way it is because it suits her best. 😉
But dragel circle sizes depend on the Submissive’s preference and needs to balance their magic. Some are perfectly happy with a triad and maybe one Pareya or Gheyo, while others have more magic and want more ranks or have a specific type of Circle.
Some just hunt slowly or very gradually over decades. Usually, once emotional and magical needs are being met, a dragel rushing for a full circle will stop and rethink that. Some of it is instin and other times, they are hyper aware of whether it’s good for them or their Bonded.
For example, like with Saera, she held together the Suite for Ryder even though she wasn’t bonded to him and it worked, for a little bit. A lot of dragels with family and friend connections might just hover around each other without ever needing to bond and helping to fill in gaps and stuff.
Thanks for the ask!
So quick question if it’s okay. Does Harry only end up with three Pareyas? Because I’d love to see him with a fourth or even fifth Pareya, (maybe of the air element or even storm lol). I just feel he needs additional care and nurturing. Especially if he ends up with a full Gheyo suite.
Plus I’d love to see him getting some new elements into his circle. It feels very earth and fire heavy? (Well fire once the twins are added into the mix)
But I do love your story so this isn’t a criticism at all. Just curious
Totally fine to ask!! 😊 *prepares for wordy info dump*
At the moment, yes, Harry won’t have more Pareya than Ethan and the Twins. especially since he’s building so slowly with his Gheyos and because he’ll have other ranks. He will have other elements, it’ll just take some time.
Even though he probably won’t mind some short term smothering 😌, having more Pareya would start to mess with his instincts and sense of self. To me, Harry is an independent person who just needs some support. A little extra support even, and too much would start him on a worry loop where he might neglect himself because he’s worrying about them and then it circles into itself and gives everyone a headache.
Because Pareyas take care of each other in addition to their circle. Their Bonded balance this out so they don’t get stuck in loops of forgetting to take care of themselves as well. Just because they have Pareyic inclinations doesn’t mean they’re good at it at first. It’s something they learn and grow into other time. You might get a situation like Cora, who needs the support and closeness but is a little resentful of the smothering and leads to arguing and short tempers while a new balance is re-established in the circle. She loves and cares about them but is also fighting murderous urges bc she is definitely far from helpless and it was a dangerous accident that caused her to lose the baby.
Harry’s empathy would already amplify his Bonded’s ranks and intentions. A properly balanced Gheyo Suite will take care of themselves. They don’t like interference and will keep to themselves to some degree. They also balance out the more feral and physical urges between them so unless Harry goes looking for it or asking for it, they’ll take their cues from him. Hierarchies are very important to Gheyos and they will live and die by them. Harry is a fighter and will be alright with a Gheyo-heavy Circle, though I don’t plan on giving him all of those ranks at the moment.
