@dragoami liked for a starter.
“aren’t you busy with your gym?” not even a ‘hello’ or ‘how you’ve been’ was mentioned to the dragon trainer, seems he left his politeness back elsewhere. it was the dragons den and she wasn’t that far from it and could easily pop in to visit whenever --- but, when silver wanted to train he preferred being ALONE for it, not accompanied at all (even if the training session was almost over). “ ------ what do you want?”

although she feels another presence come close, she doesn’t register it entirely until she hears that tone. it doesn’t break her from the stars she set her eyes on, although she does pull herself a little more closer together. her arms, held around herself, press down on top of one another more tightly.
it’s a redundant question, she finds, but she offers as short nod anyways. it would be a pain to deal with the consequences of telling her off than accepting her companionship for now. at least, clair’s more tolerable than some people.

❛ It wasn’t a SUGGESTION, I’m t e l l i n g you this is the right path to take. ❜ What should have been a shortcut quickly turned into an hour of wandering deeper into the forest, thanks to Clair’s excellent navigational skills. Having visited the area twice in the past, suddenly she’s an expert. Unfortunate for the other, having accompanied Clair on this adventure.
Sky blues trail over the rough terrain, lips pulling into a frown. It all looks the same and Clair’s certain they’ve passed one tree in particular, several times already. However LOST they may be, the dragon tamer refuses to admit it out loud. She’ll make sure they find their way back. ❛ We’ll be out of here in no time. ❜
“This is your fault, you know. I wasted all of my teleportation energy to simply get us here, so it would’ve been fantastic for you to at least know where you were taking me... but I suppose that’s too much to ask.”
Suddenly, as the two turned a corner, they found themselves face-to-face with a pair of angry Ursaring... which Natsume blasted away with a psychic burst. “I’m certain you’d be dead by now if I wasn’t with you...”
@dragoami Well, of course his cousin is a genius. That’s a given.
Who's your favorite cousin (':
❛ I HAVE NOTHING BUT A VAGUE MEMORY OF SOMEONE I USED to call my cousin... but cousin maya is my favorite. ❜ though tease lay clear as day against his tongue, the champion made a strict point to keep his facial expression as neutral as possible ------ even throwing in an eyebrow raise there as if to ask the question “ and what about her ? “
💙
NO, SHE WAS NOT A FAN OF THE COLD. far from it, actually. she was a child of summer’s love, not born in the heat of the tropics but adapting to the heat was not an issue. ------ the cold seemed too dead ! naught but white blankets strewn messily along the floor with not a single flower ready to bloom. every few seconds did she hold in the sneeze threatening to spill, having let it do so more than one over the last thirty minutes with a red shining nose. ❛ why did they have to put the league all the way up mount lanakila... ❜ she grumbled, another sniffle here and there. though, it was only to her shock when warmth suddenly encased her, wrapping over her shoulders that draped down towards her back. ( a bit long, however, when its hem dragged against the snow. ) confusion was written all over her face, from wide eyes to her mouth that hung in a small “ o “ as she looked at the now capeless dragon master. and then it hit her ------ and though as grateful as she was, now feeling the color come back to her hands, guilt wound its way into her heart. she must’ve been freezing ! an idea came into her mind and with hands bundled the cape’s fabric into her fists, she held it open, moving to hug the older woman and bring her closer. ❛ you give me your warmth so i’ll give you mine, deal ? ❜ she hummed, holding closer as if to say “ i refuse to let go ! “
💙 TO PLACE A BLANKET ON MY MUSE. / ACCEPTING !
“You know I’m always here for you, right?”
"Hmm?" Lance blinked over at his cousin. He'd heard what she'd said, but it was taking time for his brain to register the meaning of those words. Arceus, he was tired. Too much to do, too little time to do it. The week had been an unusually busy one--but, then, so had the week before that, and the week before that. It was like running 100 meter dash that was slowly turning into a sprinted 10k run.
It took fifteen seconds before he could properly parse Clair's question. "Oh. Yeah, 'course I do." He smiled wanly, too worn-out to bother taking the question for anything other than face value. He and Clair might butt heads, but he /trusted her. "You know I rely on you."
Clair meant he didn't have to worry about home, meant he had to worry less about Johto in general. She could handle it--did handle it. His smile collapsed into a brief frown. "Sorry--you do know that, right? I know I don't ... I probably don't check in on you as often as I should. I just ... know you can handle things."
