blue~green irises often are reserved for protagonists. red~purple irises are for antagonists. as time went there did pop a lot of characters with iris colors irrelevant of their factions, but without much information given, it is one of the first things that may tell how a character is.
now dragoburst. with that kind of color scheme and form, i think green iris color really stands out. even his beast head got green eyes.
i still think it would have been nice if eye/iris color was a reliable indicator of how a character is. with spy characters changing their eye/iris colors on disguising.
dragoburst's iris color eventually fitted my expectations, so that's quite lovely.
