I had once a strange dream about my dragon characters from my Manga Legendary Dragons living in a modern world as agents. During that time I watched a series about agents and my brain decided to make a crossover.

Prologue: Talkactive co-worker

I sat in the breakroom chatting … or more like listening to my coworker Katsu. He recently came back from his mission and told me everything about it. He was a very social and talkactive dragon, but sometimes I couldn’t keep up with his energy. Don’t understand me wrong I like his open personality. But when I am in the breakroom, I prefer to have a quiet me-time while sipping hot tea.

He kept talking, while I tried to keep up with his never-ending story and tried not to fall asleep immediately. After my mission with Dark and Silver, I just wanted to drink a cup of tea and head back to my room. Sadly, not everything goes smoothly in this job. I looked at my cup and sighed silently. I could only take a few sips of my favourite earl grey tea, but now it got cold and the cup was still almost full.

I just hoped he would finish soon, because I wasn’t sure if I could last any longer. I caught myself resting my eyelids a few seconds longer than before. But then Katsu got finally interrupted. “Could you just shut up?! We came from a mission too, you know? Not everyone in this base has the same energy like you!” That was Dark, my other coworker. He was a very reliable dragon, but he didn’t talk much and often preferred to be alone. He stretched his wings and grabbed a glass from the kitchen cabinet to fill it up with water. His burgundy scales had a glistening shine, he had the habit to take a hot bath after missions. It helped him to relax and made him a lot more bearable. Trust me, I speak from experience. You don’t want to deal with him when he is in a bad mood. “Jeez Emi, you look like shit. Just tell him to shut up and go to bed. You are too nice to everyone here.” I was grinning and chuckled tiredly, while Katsu got very flustered and apologised. “I am sorry, I guess I should head back to my room …” I felt a bit bad for him, but I was way too tired to care more.

I stood up and grabbed my cup to spill the cold tea in the sink. I gave Dark a pat on his shoulder and went finally in my room.
