I really don’t give enough credit to Titans Uprising, a HTTYD mobile game. I knew that some of the dragons were created specifically for the game, as well as including ones from the shows and the movies.
In this specific game, they have bios for each of the dragons you have in your arsenal. Typically how trainable they are, or how those on Berk came to interact with it. But down below, this is a Verdigriff. She’s a Fireworm queen. Have a read on how her creation came to be.
Now this in my opinion, is a nicely thought-out bio. Longer than most of the dragons you can read about.
With the bio of the Fireworm Queens, it comes to show something else. They gave us, more Viggo lore.
And it only makes him all the more terrifying.
Should you have the game, and have her, check the bio of Enhanced Fireworm Queen. She is also a result of Viggo’s experimentation. He was making a damn army of Fireworm Queens, and you best believe he would’ve used them against the Dragon Riders if they weren’t so uncontrollable. The bio also says that the Queens escaped when Ryker turned the Hunters against him.
Just imagine if that had been included in canon. Or even an offhand mention. To see the Riders reaction to these Fireworm Queens and possible evidence they were prisoners.
And I would like to say, having Viggo be the cause of these dragons’ transformation. I wager to say it’s another factor that could make him more devastating than Drago.
"No harm. N--No harm. Safe here. Safe. Only TLC from Spire. No harm. This place. Safe. Will stay here. Stay here. Better here. Don't want to go back. No going back. Staying here."
Kokoro was created by a Trailmixx Factory, as a dragon-shaped construct. The programming installed in her was to shape and form, as she lived with whoever bought her. However, a glitch in her system labeled her for destruction. Having a surprising sense of self, she fled, flying on shoddy wings. Unable to fly long, she ended up in Ilthorne, the Tiered City. She flew into the Lower Tier, and hid out among the darkness. But her bright chassis caused her unwanted attention, and she was kicked around, and beaten for fun, by those what were cruel and had nothing better to do. She finally took up residence above a shop, but anyone that approached the shop was dive-bombed by her, fearing she'd be hurt again. But then, her life changed, when Spire of the Torn Wings Mafia came into her life. Spire stopped the Tundra shopkeep from shooing the automaton away, and instead, convinced her to come with her. Kokoro was nervous at first, very wary of this Gaoler. But she was curious about her. She was part machine, sort of like her, who was all machine. A very curious Gaoler. She was huge, yes, but she didn't seem mean. Unlike those that kicked her around, and broke her frail wings. She finally crawled onto her shoulder, nuzzling into her soft fur, which felt good against her chassis. Once at the Torn Wings HQ, she was handed over to Elvie, who helped repair her wings. She nipped at the Snapper, but it took some convincing from Spire to finally relax. That she wasn't hurting her, or destroying her. Her frail wings now fixed, Kokoro wanders HQ to her liking, though she prefers to stay with Spire, as long as she can. Which sometimes can cause awkward moments, when Spire and Thyl'la want to have alone time... Kokoro is very introverted for an automaton. She much prefers to observe, than interact. She still has a glitch that affects her speech pattern, though Spire explained that that's just one quirk of Kokoro's, and she should be proud of it. Pride is something unknown to Kokoro, but she does take Spire's words to heart. She gets along fairly well with the rest of the mafia, but she often shies away from Yeaouf, who worries he'll be replaced by a robot, when it comes to protecting HQ. And she doesn't want to be caught in his slime, and destroyed for just being there.
Been thinking about redoing or maybe changing up my dragon bios.
A year ago I had all my bios coded and ready to fill, and then... then I adopted like 60 dragons and now we are back to patchwork with all the new ones having just vistas.
I've always wanted to do small short stories for my dragons bios. I don't enjoy writing character profiles and thought it would be fun to do something unusual... but 6 years later I've done maybe 7? And most of my dragons bios have their defining quote but are empty otherwise. I love the stories I have, but never have the energy to write more unless it's for a challenge like Orinthia's.
So I'm trying to come up with ideas for my dragon bios that aren't just character profiles and descriptions cause I know I'll never do those. I saw someone had trivia for their dragons? And that's a cute idea cause it could just be random bullet points that aren't completely fleshed out.
What other things do you guys like to put in your bios that is fun or different? I have a goal to get all my dragons art one day but I have almost 200 permas now so it's gonna be a while.
So many creatives, need ideas!
Hook's Notes: Rom is the groundskeeper. He tends the godswood around the temple, as well as the woods around the school, and he keeps a general eye on everything else. He takes care of the familiars that don't belong to anyone, and he keeps the ravens. Corvids in general are sacred to the clan, but White Ravens hold special significance. We have... a lot of them. We can't eat them, obviously, so whenever the hunting team traps any, we just introduce them to the rookery. They could fly home if they wanted to - some of them do, and some of them come back to visit and some of them don't - but most of them stay, because our hospitality is so great. Rom feeds them well and makes sure the rookery stays clean and in good repair, and he teaches them small bits of poetry. Which is quite freaky, when you run into one, and it starts quoting Shakespeare at you, especially when it happens outside of the godswood. Like, you expect weird things to happen in the godswood, for other reasons as well as talking ravens (who like to hang out there, it's their second favorite place after the rookery), but if you're just, you know, coming home from market and get "Tears, idle tears, I know not what they mean!" shouted at you from a tree, it's quite concerning. I'm not sure why Rom can't teach them Mary Oliver and Robert Frost instead of Tennyson, but tragedies are his thing, I guess. On a side note, Moose insists that our poets are actually from another realm and that they came to us out of the Rift that he's convinced he also came through, but that's just ridiculous. There's a portrait of Tennyson in the library, he was a brown-hewed Tundra with mournful eyes. There's also a portrait of a great weapons master named Obi-Wan Kenobi, telling you to read. I'm not sure what being a weapons master has to do with reading, but I guess he was just really invested in education. In the picture he's a Skydancer wearing a lot of white armor. Anyway. Rom keeps to himself and his birds mostly, he almost always has at least one perched on his shoulders, but he also spends a lot of time with his mate, Hella. He mostly just nods along while she rambles about theories and concepts, from what I've seen, but perhaps he reads poetry to her, too. Maybe he reads the happier, more romantic ones to her, instead of to the birds. Maybe he isn't really as morose as he seems, and just thinks it fitting that ravens go about talking about death and mourning. I don't know. He's a part of that camp that I don't hang out with: Hella and Zvi and Moose and all of them. Scarlett doesn't hang with them either, so I'm really in the dark. This might be an issue, actually. What if they end up scheming something, and none of us like hanging out with them, so none of us know? Maybe I should do some spying. Though, Sim's got an in with them, she would let us know if something was up... I'm probably just being paranoid. I'm letting Briseis' gossip and doomsday-ing get to me. I should stop peeking into those predictions magazines she leaves lying about...
Forest Sky
Crevasse Wonders
I’m super happy how these came out. Spent hours researching so I could code them myself just how I wanted for this cute couple!
Forest even references the lore of his parents that someone else owns! I thought it was neat to incorporate them ( ^w^ )
GO Fan Dragons
So I went completely binkers and made a mess of little Crowleys and Aziaphales and even made them bios! I’ve been working on this for days T^T. They’re on the AH for 30kT but please haggle with me, I want them to go to good omens homes!
(They were all born on the Glorious 25th of May.)
